I still found craft beer in a place that doesn't have any pubs

Going on vacation included a plan to visit the beaches, small coastal and nearby towns, swimming in the sea and in the pool, and I planned to drink some craft beer at least one evening in a pub in Petrovac in the place where I stayed.

However, it turns out that the saying "Man plans and God laughs" applies even in the case of a plan to drink a couple of beers.
There is not a single Pub or restaurant in Petrovac that offers Craft beer.
The offer in all restaurants and cafes is limited to industrial Nikšić beer, Heineken or Tuborg...
When I asked if it was possible to drink craft somewhere, they told me: "Budva or Kotor, there are pubs that offer Craft beers".
However, I was half an hour or an hour's drive away from those places, so it was not possible for me to drive after drinking beer (although on my tour of Kotor I found one that had a great selection of beers).

That's why I was very happy when in the Voli store, in the refrigerator with a large number of industrial beers, I recognized labels that I had already had the opportunity to meet. Craft beer 🙂

The Podgorica brewery Akademija was on my map for #beersaturday more than two years ago, among my first posts about craft beers, when I tasted all 6 beers they brew in their brewery.

Now I bought three bottles, everything I found on the shelves.

I had a Lager, which is named Vrhunski Magistar (Top Magister), a Pale Ale named Profesor Hopppss, and an India Pale Ale named Profesor Doctor.

Right after dinner and a walk around the city, when I sat on the terrace, I decided to refresh myself with their lager.

The Vrhunski Magistar is an unfiltered, unpasteurized, light lager beer with 5.1% alcohol and a slightly more pronounced IBU of 28, which gives it a noticeably more serious character and a fine, refreshing bitterness in the finish.

Because this is an unfiltered beer, it looks slightly hazy, golden-yellow in color, as it retains the yeast and proteins from the malt, which gives it a richer flavor and distinctive "bready" profile.

The carbonation is slightly stronger and provides a sharp, refreshing sensation on the tongue that makes it ideal for quenching thirst, just what I needed after a slightly spicier dinner.

The next day, after returning from the beach, where I ran away because of the extreme heat, I decided to drink the remaining two.

I poured the first Pale Ale (or as APA describes it), Profesor Hooopss, which is the most awarded beer of the Brewery Akademija, which has confirmed its recognition at various craft brewing competitions.

With an alcohol percentage of 5.6%, this beer is brewed with a late hop process, which added excellent aromatics with characteristic tropical and fruity aromas along with a refreshing bitterness.

The foam after pouring is thick and persistent and the beer is very drinkable and refreshing.

Unlike Profesor Hopppss beer, Profesor Doktor is a real IPA beer, with an increased % alcohol (5.9%), increased bitterness (with 33IBU), this beer is brewed using three varieties of hops.

Citrus and fruit aromas dominate (grapefruit, tropical fruit), followed by mild floral notes.

Its color leans towards a more cloudy amber (copper shade), and the taste clearly shows caramel and bread tones that balance the bitterness of the hops.

In any case, it was a pleasure to find craft beer on this holiday, and to be able to share with you on #beersaturday the beers I drank on warm summer days.

Until some new #beer tastings, I greet you with a loud "Cheers!".

Certainly, chasing helps to keep the throat dry, so a sip of cold beer is even more pleasant 😀

You mention Bangalore. What's the craft beer situation like in that Indian city?
