Not long ago, I decided to visit one of the best beaches in the city. The best way to escape the routine for a few hours is to sit by the shore and enjoy a beer. Those of us who live near the sea NEVER truly appreciate the beach; in fact, many find it boring or just see it as something completely normal. But when you are swimming in the ocean, drinking beer, and listening to Afro House music, you forget how ordinary the sea usually feels to us... and you don't really pay attention to the sunburns either.

To enjoy the Afro House vibe, I brought along a few Polar Negras. Lately, I've been preferring other beers, but I find it quite fun to drink something a bit strong while enjoying the sea... I don't know why, but I guess the waves and the water already make you feel very light when you are inside and very heavy when you get out, and the beer just finishes off your senses in a place that is already quite absorbing on its own.

We also decided to complement the day with Caroreña sangria. A true beer lover always completes the combo with rum, whiskey, or sangria. Well, I don't know if those of you from other countries know what the hell sangria is, but it's something like a fruit punch made with wine, sugar, and soda. It sounds overly sweet, but I swear it's the best idea, although mixing it with beer might not be so much.

As the afternoon fell, I decided to take a photo of the sunset on the beach. Besides, after a few beers and some Caroreña, you kind of appreciate life and nature a bit more.

Well, in the end, these combinations of beer and other drinks have nothing to envy from an ancient alchemist, as weird as it might sound, but I really recommend it. I truly enjoyed this experience. I will visit a beach at night soon to tell you all about it, and to see if one day I can win those 6 Hive from the #beersaturday contest. My goodness, how I wish for those 6 Hive to give them a power-up wink wink.

Hace poco decidí visitar una de las mejores playas de la ciudad. La mejor manera de escapar de la rutina por unas horas es sentarse a la orilla del mar y disfrutar de la cerveza. Nosotros las personas que vivimos cerca del mar NUNCA apreciamos realmente la playa, de hecho a muchos les llega a aburrir o lo vemos como algo normal, pero cuando estamos bañándonos en el agua del mar, tomando cerveza y escuchando música afro house se nos olvida lo cotidiano que es el mar para nosotros... y tampoco le prestamos atención a las quemaduras que nos hace el sol...

Para deleitarme con el afro house llevé unas cuantas Polar Negras. Últimamente prefiero otras cervezas pero me parece muy divertido beber algo fuerte mientras disfrutas del mar... no sé por qué pero supongo que ya de por sí las olas y el agua te hacen sentir muy ligero cuando estás dentro y muy pesado cuando sales, y la cerveza como que termina de rematar tus sentidos en un lugar que ya de por sí es muy absorbente.

Además decidimos complementar con sangría caroreña, un verdadero cervecero siempre completa el combo con ron, whisky o sangría. Bueno, no sé si alguno de ustedes que son de otros países sepan qué carajo es la sangría, pero es algo así como un ponche de frutas con vino, azúcar y gaseosa. Suena empalagoso pero les juro que es la mejor idea, aunque mezclarlo con cerveza tal vez no tanto.

Ya cuando cayó la tarde decidí tomarle una foto al atardecer en la playa. Además, luego de cerveza y caroreña, uno como que aprecia más la vida y la naturaleza.

Bueno, al final estas combinaciones de cerveza y otras bebidas no tienen nada que envidiarle a un antiguo alquimista por lo raro que podrá sonar, pero de verdad lo recomiendo. Me gustó mucho esta experiencia, visitaré pronto alguna playa de noche para contarles la experiencia y a ver si algún día me gano los 6 Hive del concurso de #beersaturday.
