Wie bereits erwähnt - es muss wiederholt werden:
Komme aus dem Rock/ Metal Umfeld, bin eben alt und habe Ende der 90er Techno für mich entdeckt (als DJ und Liebhaber) - Crossover fand ich super damals, gab es zu wenig. Den Rock tag #Rockclassics hab ich lange angefangen, weil er meine Jugend widerspiegelt.
Rock Classic from the Netherlands - for real?
Yes indeed - even I usually I know Techno / Trance acts from my beloved neighbourhood - they had this one rock band - many do not know they are from Holland (or Netherlands - one has to be carfully he as different definitions betwoon Holland and Netherlands).
Bunt indeeed an impressive career one has to consider and respect. I know two songs you can see here above and below - but there is way more about a band that played 60 years (!) together (in different formations of course).
Golden Earring
Founded early 1960ies in Den Haag with a different name these guys become a legend - according to pro minded sources they been close to The Beatles - will not judge this but they deserve a place in rok history for sure.
Golden Earring became famous with "Radar Love" and during their lve concerts during 70/80ies they had famous bands as their opening acts such as Aerosmith or Kiss. They played joined concerts with the likes of Led Zeppelin, Boz Scaggs, The Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top, J. Geils Band (more on them sooooon here!), and even Jimi Hendrix.
