Life has been a trip but I always make time for #beersaturday. 389 of #beersaturday is the place to be an I have something special this week!
I have come to find, being The Blockchain Beerologist definitely has its perks, including but not limited to getting paid to tour breweries and sample new beers! When I am not globetrotting or brewing my own beer, my fridge looks like a colorful mosaic of regional craft beer I enjoy sharing with the #beersaturday alliance of #beer bloggers on #hive.
This week, I am tearing onto the first few beers from my....wait for it...BEER ADVENT CALENDAR!!

If this is your first visit to Zeke's Sweet Hops, this tale started Nov 30th where many Pints of the Week were enjoyed. These particular ones were from Broken Rail Brewing
This crew of #Beerologist s gathered from across the Province and each brought 24 beers from a craft brewery.
At our final destination, the numbered beers were divided one in each case of beer so that everyone left with identical cases of 24 different beer. Perfect for an advent calendar which would bring us up to Christmas Eve. When $Hive reaches $10, I am going to visit each country who can produce 23 Hive-connected beer lovers who want to go on an epic brewery crawl and choose a craft beer to contribute to an exchange.

Beer 1 - Twin Bluffs Vienna Lager
This Manitoulin Brewingbaby was wrapped up nice with a big numbered tag showing you the way to the first beer.
I poured it into a nice tall thin glass I wouldn't dare drink an IPA out of. Nice golden colour and anything with sailboats on the label has to have some sort of taste.
As beers go, lagers tend to bore me a little but Twin Bluffs was a slightly malty one by lager standards and plenty refreshing if it lacked boldness. A good @davedickeyyall beer I would have never sampled if not for the share.

Beer 2 - Kitchen Lunch Cream Ale
This Newmarket Brewing tall pint also was wrapped up nicely and you had to search for the #2 on it. What could it be now?
How about a nice Kitchen Lunch Cream Ale? I have come to rediscover and enjoy cream ales as we brew a nice one for the second tap to play the straight man for the IPA. Light and slightly creamy in texture with an almost sweet taste. Smooth, unassuming beer that is rather quite nice. Though I certainly hope there are some hoppy and malty beers in this collection, it certainly started out nice, mild and refreshing.

#BEERSaturday!

My movember 'stache is long gone but this guy has it right.
Join me, @detlev , and the other beerologists because there is always room for more beer bloggers at this week's Beer Saturday gathering... https://hive.blog/hive-187719/@detlev/beersaturday-389
Cheers to our global family of beer drinkers!!
