For week 439, I bring you another few stops on our annual 6-stop brewery tour and Beer Exchange!

Chugs on the Run
Here is where we started out, Jackass Brewery was the first of many stops on the day.

Wavemaker
Next up on our tour, 20 beer enthusiasts mobbed our way over to Wavemaker Brewery, also in Cambridge. This is a neat one because I can't recall seeing their stuff available at the regional beer stores and I am all about new breweries.
Quite a colourful selection too. They have that same chaotic and vibrant non-branding thing going on and you have to read closely to see they have a specialty in Belgian/trappist style strong beers. They pale in comparisson to the real thing...everything does really if you have drank the house ale at a 300-year-old monastery brewery, but very enjoyable nonetheless.
You can see my group within the group has different tastes in beer. I opted for the Bin Chicken IPA while my companions went for a lighter lager and you can see our brewer about to snatch up his trademark amber ale. Good pints!

Sparrow!
Next up, just down the road a little to a well-kept secret. Sparrow Brewing Company is a tiny little operation off the beaten track a little which was perfect for our tour. Besides the great company, an objective is to enjoy a beer you might not have ever enjoyed before. Sparrow fits that bill for sure.
Much to my delight, the menu if full of their own brews and they have a healthy IPA game with 30% of the 10 real beers being IPAs!
The flights here are perfect for a tour of beer exchangers too. Perfect to sample a number of different styles without having to commit to a full pint.
Such a great way to sample a few different style to discover a brewery.
Speaking of full pints, knowing we were going to be visiting 6 locations in the day, I promised myself I would get a pint at each so I wasn't absolutely shitmixed by the end of the day. Promise immediately broken as I opted for one of the nice stemmed tulip pint glasses full of Rowdy Rurals hazy NEIPA Damn good there and damn good in the can I brought home too.

Did We Make It?
We still have another couple stops on our big tour but maybe I will save that for next #beersaturday.

#BEERSaturday!
Check out the sabre beer glasses you get when you visit Buffalo New York for a game!
Now it is time for you to join me, @detlev , and these other beerologists because there is always room for more beer bloggers at this week's Beer Saturday gathering... https://hive.blog/hive-187719/@detlev/beersaturday-439 Lets drink to Beer Season!
