Once again, I stopped at Cucina Fresca in Bayville, New Jersey, for lunch and was more than satisfied yet again. They are in a spot on Route 9 that is easy to forget because they are also an Italian Specialty Market. However, in the corner as you walk in there are a group of tables where you can sit and enjoy many of their delicious delicacies. They even start the day with breakfast options!

Their sandwiches offer two price points where you can order your sandwich on a roll or hoagie style. Trust me when I say that the regular sandwiches are just as large as the hoagies. I went with the New Yorker, which is a chicken cutlet topped with provolone, vinegar peppers and arugula. It is finished off with a balsamic reduction. I had my sandwich put on freshly baked Italian bread.

Now anyone who loves to eat fresh provolone by slicing it as a block of cheese understands the actual sharp flavor this type of cheese possesses. However, when you order it from the deli in many supermarkets it tastes rubbery. Well, their provolone on their sandwich is imported and maintains that sharp flavor that one would expect from this cheese. I know that Jeff Mauro, the sandwich king from the Food Network, would be proud! It's the type of sandwich where you enjoy every bite!
