I have a bit of anemia, and I don't sleep in bed all the time, so I'm afraid to drink coffee. Coffee can hinder iron absorption, which is bad for anemia. Also, coffee can cause me to have trouble sleeping, which can lead to negative symptoms, so I haven't had coffee in years. Besides, I used to drink three-in-one instant coffee, so the amount of coffee in it was really tiny.
I've been seeing so many affordable coffee options lately, with Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, dark roasts, and so many other varieties. I'm completely clueless about these names, which is a shame. I'm completely clueless about coffees so many people love. So I just order randomly. I ordered a latte with Meiji fresh milk last week, and it was delicious, with a milky flavor. The next day, I ordered an iced latte, which was also good, a little lighter than the previous one. And then, yesterday, I ordered a dark roast Americano, and wow, it was like drinking Chinese medicine, without a hint of sweetness. This is what pure coffee lovers love, I guess. I couldn't finish it, so I gave it to my son's dad, who can drink strong tea and espresso beans without disturbing his sleep. He finished it in one gulp.
Next time, I know I'm not a fan of Americano. I can handle lattes, but I think cappuccinos are better. I looked it up online, and mochas are sweeter. Hmm, I'll try a mocha next time.....
