RE: Delicious and fascinating ancient Thai desserts

Khanom Kho/Khanom Tom are called "Klepon" and Khanom Sai Sai/-Sod Sai is called Kue Bongko in Java, Indonesia (my hometown) πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜‹.
They are popular as "Jajan Pasar" in my country which literally means "market cakes" and has a connotation of cheap dessert but in fact it's a national culinary heritage.
It's our treasure, don't you think @tangmo ? But most youngster these days don't cherish them and prefer to choose western style of cakes to serve at their party or gathering πŸ˜….
But for us who live abroad (especially when we live in Eurepe)... they become luxury 😍.
I could only enjoy them if I make it myself 😊.

You are right! I absolutely agree with you, "it's our treasure...." Most youngsters in Thailand these days don't cherish them and prefer to choose western style of cakes to serve at their party or gathering", too.

I love them all, but it's hard to find these desserts nowadays. Whenever I see them, I'm very much happy... 😍
