Butterscotch Chips Brownies

in #food4 days ago

Happy Sunday!

On Friday I took out of the plants from basement as it was 24 C outside. Thought the hot day would stick and eventhough morning would be cooler, plants would be okay, however on Saturday morning it was chilly, it killed some of the tomatoes and cucumber, as it went down to minus temperature 😬 Last night, knowing this morning was gonna be -1 C again, I brought all into the backyard shed and my husband put up a growing light there.

I don't think I'm going to take them out until middle of May, I guess. This early warmness really threw me off the trail 😅

Today I am sharing fudgey brownies recipe. Been awhile since I baked brownies 😊

1 c unsalted butter
2/3 c dark brown sugar
3/4 c sugar
1-2 tsp vanilla essence
2 eggs
2 1/4 c flour
2/3 c cocoa powder
1 tsp BSoda
A pinch of salt
1/2-1 package of butterscotch/caramel chips

In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt, put to side

In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until combined, add in essence. Crack in eggs, one at a time. Scrape sides if needed. Lower the power, add in flour mixture, a little at a time

Bake on preheated 350 F until top is dry and crisp, but center is fudgey (about 30-35 minutes, depending on your oven)

Cool to room temperature and enjoy 😊
