Chocolate Spritz Cookies

Hello!

2nd day of Spritz cookies recipe-sharing, and for today, it's have Chocolate Spritz cookies. Yep. As mentioned yesterday, starting yesterday, today, and tomorrow, I will be sharing 3 differ kinds of Spritz cookies. I prepared these cookies for Eid ul Fitr, a celebration that comes after Ramadan, 30 days of fasting month 😊

In Indonesia, we would prepare tons of cookies, sweets, foods and drinks, for relatives, neighbors, and/or visitors (yep, even strangers visit houses, to wish Eid Mubarak). Totally a big feast. This year, I baked only 3 kinds of cookies, and all are Spritz cookies with different flavors 😊

100 g unsalted butter
100 g vegetable shortening
200 g berry sugar (superfine/castor)
2 yolks
50 g dark chocolate bar, grate
250 g AP flour
1 tsp Nescafe instant granule
3 tbsp cocoa powder (Dutch cocoa powder is great as well)
Candy topping

Mix flour, coffee, and cocoa powder in a bowl, set to side

Cream butter, shortening, and sugar, until pale and well combined

Beat in yolks, then fold in grated chocolate

Mix in flour mixture

Pipe dough onto greased pan, decorate with candy topping, and bake on preheated 300 F for 15 mins

Cool on rack completely before storing
