Green Beans and Patties

in #food3 days ago

Good Sunny Morning!

Gotta enjoy the weather today as tomorrow supposedly it will flop to 1 C only. I didn't bring in my plants last night and when I woke up earlier it was already 7 C warm. Went to back and saw they seem to be just fine. However, tonight I have to bring them back into the sheds.

My oldest left home to school wearing Batik, a formal shirt from Indonesia, almost similar to Persian Paisley shirt, as he has debate competition at school. When we arrived at school, we spotted one of his classmates arriving at school as well, and he was also wearing a formal shirt 😁 Would be nice if the whole class would/could take a picture together, as everyone was supposedly informed to wear shirts today, for the debate 😁 A different look from their daily t-shirts and sweaters 😁
Now, let's talk about this following dish. It's inspired by Hungarian Zoldbab Fozelek, which is Hungarin Wax Beans Stew. My husband's late grandmother wasn't lazy like me obviously. She would prepare it with roux, of course, which similar to how you'd make Bechamel sauce. My dish is a quicker and lazy version 😁✌️✌️😁

500 g lean ground beef
1 c Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1-2 tsp chicken bouillon powder

2 cans of green beans
Enough water
2 garlic

2 tbsp flour
1 tsp sweet paprika powder
Enough water
Chicken bouillon powder
2 tbsp sour cream (idk why I said yogurt in the vlog 🤣✌️🤣✌️)
Crushed parsley

In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, and chicken bouillon powder. Shape into patties

Bake patties on preheated 375 F for 17-20 minutes

Meanwhile, drain green beans and place them into a pot, along with enough water to cover it. Add in sliced garlic, bring to fully boil

While green beans cooking, mix flour, water and sweet paprika powder. Once green beans boiling fully, still in flour mixture, to thicken green beans

Season with chicken bouillon powder, and stir in sour cream

Spoon stew into serving plate, sprinkle with crushed parsley, and serve with cooked patties

Enjoy!
