Hi Friends!
It's been nice, sunny, no clouds for 3 days now. Inside the greenhouse reached 42C yesterday. This is day 3 that we are experiencing heatwave in some parts of British Columbia, although up here in the North, outside greenhouse for us have been around 24-27C, while other parts of BC supposedly much hotter, they are seeing 30C. Lovely last stretch of Summer 😍
What even lovelier, is that my cucumber plant is finally catching up. I know many people already harvested their cucumbers, while mine just started to show some signs last week, am pretty stoked regardless. Always feels like an achievement when plants are fruitful 😁
For today's recipe, a nice dessert for a hot day!
1 block cream cheese
1 tbsp icing sugar
1 tsp beef gelatine
4 tsp water
1 c heavy whipping cream 35%
3 tbsp Milo
1 c milk
Ladys fingers
2 tbsp Milo
2-3 tbsp Milo
More Milo for sprinkling OR cocoa powder
Cream icing sugar and a cream cheese, then beat in heavy cream
In a small bowl, mix water and gelatine, then heat for 20-30 secs in microwave, add it into cream cheese and mix even more until fluffy and combined well
Stir Milo into milk
Dip ladys fingers into Milo milk then place as first layer of the dessert. Sprinkle with Milo. Spread with half of the cream cheese
Dip ladys finger into Milo milk, lay them on the cream as 2nd layer of the dessert
With the remaining cream cheese, beat in 2-3 tbsp Milo. Spread this cream on the 2nd layer of ladys fingers
Sprinkle more Milo or cocoa powder. Chill for at least 4 H
Slice and enjoy!
