Trying out other protein and fats for my poké bowl

in #foodie14 hours ago

Poké are generally expensive, but as I have shared in my first post making my very first poké from what I have I have decided to try other more "whole foods" version.

This time I have decided to try out pickles and fatty food

(Well, I still have some balance of the fish balls. Don't judge me 🤣)

Reducing the rice and increasing the fibre is one of the main ways I am trying now. Especially for a person who hasn't been eating rice daily for a long time, my bowel is overwhelmed.

Good thing that my grocer just so happened to give special offer for avocados, and with that, I could obtain some really nice and healthy fat to it.

Balancing a different kind of "fruit"

Another time that I have decided to add in apples as another additional fibre intake and swap the fish balls with hardboiled eggs.

Somehow, now that my stomach is starting to accustom with rice again, hardboiled eggs doesn't meet the "fullness" criteria of a piece of fish.

Because I only eat one full meal a day at 11am (and trying to snack healthy nuts after that until around 7pm), I got to learn to slow down my eating; but if I put too much heat to the sauce, this is not helping haha.

Other than that, having a little more fibre in my gut was one of my ideas, but I do end up a little constipated.
(

I probably need to take back this more often just to rebuild better bacteria in my gut system.

As many health specialists and doctors say: Healthy Gut leads to Healthy Mind.

(But it is quite true when I have this more often I have less anxiety attacks)

How about you?

Can you opt for 1 full meal a day, or are you a frequent small meal person (like my mom because of constant acid reflux issue), or a 3 to 5 meals a day—because food is life ? 😆

Until Then
