Pancake Recipe

Pancakes are very easy to make, the moment I knew how to make pancakes, it turned to my favorite.

There are several recipes in making pancakes, but let me share mine and the ingredients I used;

Ingredients
2 Cups of Flour
One Egg
4 tablespoons Sugar
A pinch of Salt
4 tablespoons of powdered Milk
2 tablespoons of Pepper
2 teaspoons of Nutmeg
Vegetable Oil
Honey

Process

  • I poured the 2 cups of flour in a bowl.
I actually love using a big bowl because it’s easier for me to mix, regardless of whether I’m making a small or large quantity.

Side Note: The containers used are improvised containers, please ignore the label.

  • I added 4 tablespoons of powdered milk, I used peak full cream milk

You can choose to use powdered milk or liquid milk.

  • I went in with Sugar, I added 4 tablespoons of sugar.

The Sugar is actually as preferred, I personally love my pancakes a little bit sugary, so you might not need to add up to 4 tablespoons of sugar if you don’t really like taking a lot of Sugar.

  • I added 2 teaspoons of nutmeg and 2 tablespoons of Pepper.

I love spicy food a lot and that was why I added 2 tablespoons of pepper, please if you don’t like spicy food, you can reduce the quantity you will add, according to your taste.

  • I added a pinch of salt and this is how it looks like after mixing everything together.

  • Egg goes in last, I like adding egg after mixing other ingredients together.

IMG_1161.jpeg

  • Mix everything together very well, I always love to mix them properly, to give that unique taste after frying.

  • I added water, after mixing other ingredients together thoroughly, I always use a cup to gradually pour the water in.

This is because putting directly under running water might make it too watery.

I don’t really have full control over it, when it’s directly under running water and I wouldn’t know when it becomes too watery.

The best thing is to add a little water first, then mix.

If it’s too thick, you can add a little more till you get your desired texture.

  • I used very little oil, pancakes don’t need much oil.

And, I also used a big spoon to scoop inside the frying pan because I wanted a big sized pancakes.

The best way to know when to flip it over, is when you notice like small holes like bubble like on the pancake, that’s the best time to flip them.
