The Delicious Chiken Momo

in Hive Food12 days ago

Hello all my hive friends! I hope all you are being very well. Today I am sharing with you a simple and delicious recipe and that is Chicken Momos.I wouldn't say that momos are limited to my area. It's a popular dish that more or less everyone has eaten.

Chiken Momos

Steamed momo is much healthier and nutritious. Its nutritional value and calorie value can be further increased by using wheat or semolina flour. In addition, wheat or semolina flour acts as a good source of carbohydrates and the meat filling inside the momo provides a good source of protein.Momo is a very popular street food in Bangladesh.

I've heard a lot about its popularity for a long time, but many people have said that it doesn't taste good.So I went out with two of my friends last week. That day I ate momo for the first time. I liked it a lot. But when I came home I thought if I try this same momo recipe at home then it will definitely be much healthier. Finally today I was able to make it today. So I thought I'd share this recipe with you today.

Required Ingredients

● 300 gm minced meat

● 2 onions (chopped)

● 6-7 green chillies (chopped)

● Ginger (chopped)

● Garlic (chopped)

● cumin paste

● salt

● Two cups of flour

● Hot water

● soy sauce

So friends, let's learn the steps to make momos in detail!

Step - 01 : Prepare the dough

First I took two cups of flour in a bowl and then mixed it well with a spoon of salt. Once it is mixed well, I have to pour warm water into the flour. Mix the water well with the flour and make a dough. The ratio of water to flour will be that I will need a little less than half of the amount of flour I will take. For example, I used a little less than one cup of water to make a dough of two cups of flour

Once the dough is ready, brush some soybean oil on top so that it does not dry out when exposed to air. Finally, cover the dough with a lid and leave it to rest in the attic for about 15 minutes.

Step - 02 : Make the momo Filling

To make momo filling, mix well with minced meat , onion kuchi, raw chilli kuchi, cumin paste, quantity of salt in the bowl.

Then place a pot in the oven and fry the ginger and garlic chopped in the oil. Then mix them well in the mixture of the meat.

Finally, add 2 teaspoons of light soy sauce to the filling and mix well with the meat.

Step - 03 : Prepare the momo wrapper

After 15 minutes, I removed the lid and stirred the pre-made dough a bit. Then I kneaded the dough well with flour and cut small ball-like pieces from it.

I took a small ball in my hand and flattened it with a little pressure using the palm of my hand. Then I took a small ball of bread and made it into a small roti. In this way I made many more small rotis which will actually work as momo wrapper.

Step - 04 : Fold the momos

In this case, first take a small loaf of bread. In this, take the previously prepared momo filling with the help of a spoon and wrap one side of the momo well.

Wrap it in small pieces. In this way, the size of the momo will gradually look like a ball. Finally, it should be sealed well. It should be noted that a small part should be left empty in the middle of the momo. So that while steaming it, the inner parts can be cooked well. This is how I made many momos with my two cups of flour.

Step - 05 : Steam the momos

To steam the momos properly, I first took a steamer and brushed it well with soybean oil so that the momos would come out of the steamer easily after they were cooked. Then I arranged the momos on the steamer in a spaced manner so that they would not touch each other.

Then I put a pot on the stove and boiled water in it. I placed the previously prepared steamer on it and covered it with a lid. I waited for 10 to 15 minutes.

Step - 06 : Results and serving suggestions

Then after 10 to 15 minutes I removed the lid and saw that the momos were nicely cooked. So without delay I arranged them nicely on a plate and served them hot.I showed you how perfectly cooked a momo is!

One more thing I will tell you is that momos must be served hot. Because when it is cold ith does not taste good and the momo filling inside becomes hard. It definitely tastes great with tomato sauce.
