This has been one of the months where I've been most aware of flavors and appreciating new culinary experiences. Unfortunately, I don’t have photos of all the delicious dishes I’ve tried. But I’ll highlight these four because there’s a record of them, and they were delicious.

Cinnamon Roll
This dessert is quite interesting because Audi, before watching Better Call Saul, refused to eat these rolls! I know, it sounds like a very silly decision! In my defense, I compared them to golfeados, and I’m very picky about what I like. There are very few golfeados I’ve enjoyed. So I assumed I wouldn’t like the rolls either. But every time I saw Saul making Cinnamon Rolls, I was dying to try one of those. The advertising worked! In fact, the ones I show in the photos are from the same franchise, Cinnamon Rolls. By the way, my favorites are the classic ones and the chocolate ones – divine! I just shared a pretty funny picture of the moment when I was eating the chocolate roll, because if there's one thing you should know about me (in case you invite me to eat) is that my whole face eats 😂 I’m literally like a child.

Mini Tarts
I was invited to the opening of a new location, and they brought several snacks. Among my favorites was the mini strawberry tart. The cream was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and they were soft. 20/10!

Pizza
Well, pizza never fails, even though I’m team burger to the core. I would much rather have a burger. But speaking of this pizza, the name of which I don’t remember because it was given to me at a birthday party, it was interesting. I understand that some people call it fugazza, but I’m not sure if it’s the same. What made it special for me was the spicy sausage and black olives. Interestingly, it wasn’t my favorite pizza, but the one I didn’t take photos of, called Primavera, with corn, ham, and lots of cheese. I admit that both were very good because they were homemade, thin, and full of flavor.

Mini Baked Empanadas
I admit that I’m a fan of Peruvian empanadas. They’re baked and their dough is a bit sweet; they can be filled with chicken, beef, or a mix. I hadn’t had one with so much flavor in a while—don’t be fooled by the pale look of the little empanada. They are really tasty, and these mini ones were my weakness. If you have the chance to come to Peru, you have to try them.

And so I close this month full of flavors. There’s so much to highlight about the food here in Peru, and the rush to eat often gets the best of me, so the photos remain as an idea. I know I made you crave something, so I’ll see you in the comments. Which one would you like to try?

Este ha sido uno de los meses en los que más he estado consciente de los sabores y de apreciar las nuevas experiencias culinarias. Lamentablemente no tengo fotos de todas los bondadosos platos que he probado. Pero destacaré estos cuatro porque hay registro y estaban deliciosos.

Roll de canela

Este postre es muy curioso porque la Audi antes de ver Bette Call Saul se negaba a comer estos roll ¡Lo sé, se lee como una decisión muy tonta! En mi defensa, los comparaba con los golfeados y yo soy muy exigente con lo que me gusta. Hay muy pocos golfeados que me han gustado. Así que yo asimilé que no me gustarían los rolls. Pero cada vez que veía a Saul preparando los Cinnamon Rolls me moría de ganas por probar uno de esos. ¡Funcionó la publicidad! De hecho los que muestro en las fotos son de la misma franquicia, Cinnamon Rolls. Por cierto, mis favoritos son los clásicos y los de chocolate ¡Divinooo! Ahí les compartí una imagen bastante graciosa del momento en el que comía el roll de chocolate porque si algo deben saber de mí (por si me invitan a comer) es que toda mi cara come 😂 soy como una niña literal.

Mini Tartaletas

Me invitaron a la inauguración del nuevo local, entonces llevaron varios bocaditos. Entre mis favoritos estuvo la mini tartaleta de fresa, la crema estaba en su punto, no empalagaban y estaban suavecitos. 20/10

Pizza

Bueno la pizza nunca falla aunque yo soy team burguer a morir. Prefiero mil veces una hamburguesa. Pero hablando de esta pizza, de la que no recuerdo el nombre porque me la dieron en un cumpleaños, estuvo interesante. Tengo entendido que algunos la llaman fugaza, desconozco si es la misma. Lo cierto es que el toque que la hizo especial para mí fue el salchichón picante y las aceitunas negras. Curiosamente no fue mi pizza favorita, sino a la que no le tomé fotos, llamada Primavera y tenía maíz, jamón, y mucho queso. Acepto que ambas estaban muy buenas porque eran artesanales, delgadas y llenas de mucho sabor.

Mini Empanadas Horneadas

Admito que soy fan de las empanadas peruanas, son horneadas y su masa es un poco dulce pueden venir rellenas de pollo, carne o mixtas. Tenía tiempo sin comerme una que tuviese tanto sabor, no se dejen engañar por la palidez de la empanadita. Realmente son muy ricas, y estas que eran minis fueron mi debilidad. Si tienen la oportunidad de venir a Perú, tienen que probarlas.

Y así cierro este mes lleno de sabores, hay mucho por resaltar de la comida aquí en Perú, la premura por comer muchas veces me gana y las fotos quedan como una idea. Sé que te antojé, así que te leo en los comentarios ¿Cuál quieres probar?
