What a way to chillax (chill and relax) after a long week!
It is the beginning of the weekend and it is not a bad idea to have some fun after all the activities that have happened during the week. For the past few weeks I have been treating myself and my family to some homemade delicacies. Incase you missed them you can check some of them below:

But, this week we decided to try something different and we went to a Suya Barbecue spot - chicken suya to be specific. Suya is a Nigerian street snack/food that is simply made by grilling either chicken or beef. However what makes it to be Suya is the ingredients that are used to prepare it. I'm a certified foodie. I love good food when I see one and I always ensure that I enjoy myself to the fullest.
I live in the North Central area of Nigeria, FCT Abuja where suya spots are located in most strategic areas that makes this delicacies easily accessible for consumers. These suya spots are managed by Northerners and they are gifted with the art of making either beef, ram ir chicken suya. If you are lucky to locate a spot that prepare your suya just the way you love it, you will always patronise them everyday.
My favourite spot has a unique way of preparing their own and it is one of the reason they are my go-to suya spot. The chicken is always well spiced and smoked until it is half way done and afterwards displayed in a show-glass.
Then when there is a customer that wants to purchase any of his choice, it will be cut into smaller chunks, then moved into a mini oven where it will be grilled with scotch bonnet, onions, and other ingredients. When the process os completely done it will be garnished with vegetables and served to the customer in a plate. On the other hand, if you decide you want to eat yours in your house or something it will be packaged for you.
The prices of the chicken suya varies depending on the size, that is how big the chicken is. It ranges from between #6000 ($3.87) to #8000 ($5.16). Also, if you can't afford a full chicken or if a full one is too much for you, you may decide to buy half of the chicken. The half of the chicken will be sold the half of the price, obviously.
