Hola a todos, espero que su jueves haya ido de maravilla. Hoy paso por aqui para contarles de un café que tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar en Cartagena. Se trata de Satio Café Bar y esta ubicado en el Barrio Getsemaní en el mismo airbnb donde nos hospedamos y del que les hablé en uno de mis post anteriores. De hecho para entrar al airbnb primero tienes que pasar por el café bar ya que el café es la entrada al airbnb. El lugar es muy fresco asi que no se preocupen por el calor, de hecho, se van a sentir mejor allí que afuera para refrescarse un poco del calor cartegenero.
Hello everyone, I hope your Thursday has been going great. Today I stop by to tell you about a cafe that we had the opportunity to visit in Cartagena. It is Satio Café Bar and it is located in Barrio Getsemaní in the same airbnb where we stayed and which I told you about in one of my previous posts. In fact to enter the airbnb you first have to go through the cafe bar as the cafe is the entrance to the airbnb. The place is very cool so don't worry about the heat, in fact, you will feel better there than outside to cool off from the heat.
En el piso de arriba del café tambien hay un co-working asi que hay espacio para todo el que quiera visitarlo. Es decir, no tienes que hospedarte en el airbnb para poder desayunar allí o merendar o simplemente compartir un café con amigos. Aqui consiguen una gran variedad de desayunos que la verdad al observar las otras mesas se veian muy apetitozos. Desde tostadas, desayunos con granola, sandwiches, bowls o fritos. Nosotros realmente ibamos por fritos porque es algo muy tradicional de Cartagena y nos habian dicho que eran muy muy sabrosos y la verdad es que no se equivocaron.
There is also a co-working space upstairs so there is room for everyone who wants to visit. That is, you don't have to stay at the airbnb to have breakfast or a snack there or just share a coffee with friends. Here you get a great variety of breakfasts that the truth to observe the other tables looked very appetizing. From toast, breakfast with granola, sandwiches, bowls or fried food. We really went for fritos because it is something very traditional from Cartagena and we had been told that they were very very tasty and the truth is that they were not wrong.
Si van a Cartagena deben probar fritos en cualquier lugar. Sobre todo en este café-bar porque son muy deliciosos y a muy buen precio. Nosotros en esta oportunidad pedimos un frito basket para cada uno que cuesta 22 mil pesos colombianos o lo que es aproximadamente unos 5,5 USD. Esta canasta trae una arepa de huevo, una carimañola y una empanada bien calientito todo y con buena cantidad de relleno. Estas 3 piezas vienen acompañadas de suero y un ají tan pero tan bueno que van a chuparse los dedos.
If you go to Cartagena you must try fritos everywhere. Especially in this cafe-bar because they are very delicious and at a very good price. This time we ordered a frito basket for each of us which cost 22 thousand Colombian pesos or approximately 5.5 USD. This basket comes with an egg arepa, a carimañola and an empanada, all very hot and with a good amount of filling. These 3 pieces are accompanied by whey and a chili so good that you will lick your fingers.
Para acompañar pedimos dos café americanos ya que la maquina estaba dañada y por esa razon no estaban vendiendo cafés con leche. Pero seguramente son muy buenos tambien. Estos que nos sirvieron estaban calientitos y tenian muy buen sabor. Por los dos cafés y las dos bandejas pafgamos 65.5555 pesos colombianos incluyendo el servicio lo que es aproximadamente unos 16, 38 USD. El espacio es muy cómodo y la atención rápida te sirven la comida en unos pocos minutos. Asi que ya saben, si van a Cartagena no duden en probar los fritos y si es en Satios mejor porque les gustaran mucho. Esto fué todo por hoy, espero que les haya gustado. To go with it we ordered two American coffees since the machine was damaged and for that reason they were not selling coffees with milk. But I'm sure they are very good too. The ones we were served were hot and had a very good taste. For the two coffees and two trays we paid 65,5555 Colombian pesos including service which is approximately 16,38 USD. The space is very comfortable and the service is fast and they serve you the food in a few minutes. So now you know, if you go to Cartagena do not hesitate to try the fried food and if it is in Satios better because you will like it a lot. That was all for today, I hope you liked it.
