Hello, everyone! The other day, I really wanted to eat meatballs stew, and even though I hadn't made them in a long time, I still remembered my mom's recipe, so last weekend I decided to make them again. They turned out so delicious that I just had to share the recipe with you. This time, I added an extra step, which is to fry them in a little oil before stewing them, and I also added some other seasonings, but you can see for yourselves in the recipe below.
First, I started by chopping some seasonings such as green onions and paprika into small pieces, and I also crushed some garlic. Then, we add all of this to the ground beef with the seasonings we want. I used salt, pepper, MSG, taco al pastor seasoning, and sweet paprika. We then knead the meat until all the ingredients are well mixed, and then we start to form the balls. As you can see, I didn't use egg or breadcrumbs to make them.
Before cooking the meatballs, I made the sauce in which I was going to cook them. For this, I only used one large tomato, half an onion, and a little water, which I then blended in a blender and set aside. Now, as I mentioned earlier, I heated a frying pan with a little oil and then added the meatballs to seal them on all sides. Remember to wait until they are well cooked on one side before turning them over, otherwise they may stick. Once they were sealed, I removed them from the pan and added the sauce I had set aside earlier, along with salt, pepper, sweet paprika, and cumin.
Now, in the pan with the sauce, I added the meatballs and let them cook for about 25 minutes over medium heat. If they dry out, you can add more water (which is what I did). After a couple of minutes of cooking, I tasted them to adjust the flavor, and that's it! It's that easy and quick to cook delicious meatballs, which I decided to serve with rice and a tasty salad. I didn't have any plantains, but my husband and I really enjoyed this recipe, so I recommend it. I'm sure you'll love it as much as we did.
