Traditional Homemade Hazaragi Pirki Recipe

Hello friends how are you all I hope all of you are fine I am also fine. So yesterday I made a Hazargi dish with my mom which is called Pirki. This is a Hazargi dish that is why it is eaten in Pakistan and Afghanistan. And it has 3 types the first is potato pirki the second is mince pirki and the third is spinach pirki. I like all three but yesterday I wanted to eat spinach pirki so I made that. Pirki is easy to make so if you all want to try then you can easily make it and if you all want the recipe of potato and mince one then tell me in the comments I will also make that and share its recipe with you all. So let’s start making the spinach pirki.

Ingredients

So the things needed to make spinach pirki are these.
Spinach (2 bunch)
Green onion (2 bunch)
Coriander (2 bunch)
Leek (2 bunch)
Green chilli 5 to 6 pieces
Salt one and half tea spoon
Dry fenugreek 2 table spoon
Red chili powder 1 table spoon
Garlic 3 to 4 pieces
Flour
Oil
So these things are needed to make spinach pirki.

Cutting the vegetables

So first to make the filling of pirki I cut all the vegetables well that are needed. Spinach, coriander, green onion, leek I cut all of them well with my mom and the garlic was also grated well now after cutting the vegetables I washed them well. First I kept them in water for a little time so that their dirt gets clean. After keeping for a little time in water I washed them well in running water.

Boiling the spinach

Now I put water in a pot then turned on the stove. Now I put the spinach in it and kept it on the stove until it boiled. After boiling I separated it from its water.

Preparing the filling

Now in the same pot I added a little oil then I added green chillis in this oil. After adding green chillis I added green onions then I added the garlic which was grated. Now three spices have to be added salt, red chili powder, dry fenugreek their amount is written in the ingredients. After adding the spices leek has to be added then in the end the boiled spinach has to be added. Now cook it on medium flame and cook it until the oil comes on top. So in this way our pirki filling will be ready.

Assembling

Now I took ready made dough from the naan (bread) shop near my house. I took 3 balls then I made 10 small balls from them. Then I rolled them like parathas then on one side I put the prepared filling. Then I closed the pirki well. Then in the same way all the pirki have to be made then fry them in oil. So after frying our pirki is ready.

Dough recipe

So in case you all want to make dough at home then I will tell its recipe also. So first in any container put 2 cups flour then add 1 tea spoon salt and half tea spoon yeast. And add water little by little do not make it too soft. Then knead it well. So in this way the dough for pirki will also get ready.

Final result
