Gujarati Aloo is a vibrantly spiced side dish that’s as satisfying to eat as it is easy to prepare, can be Serve with Poori(Deep fried bread) or Roti or paratha. Why i said it Gujarati aloo, as it contain some sweet flavour,Gujarati food is famous for the fact that whatever they prepare, they add a sugar to it to add sweetness to the food. Usually, spicy potatoes are made in my house but sometimes I feel like eating this Gujarati potato. So I prepare it and I like it very much.

Ingredients 📃
• 6-7 Boiled Potatoes.
• 4-5 tbsp of Oil.
• 3-4 Green Chilli.
• 5-6 Curry leaves.
• 1 tbsp of Cumin seeds.
• Pinch of Asafoetida.
• 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder.
• 1/2 tbsp of red chilli Powder.
• 1 tbsp of Coriander powder.
• 1/2 tbsp of Sugar.
• Salt to Taste.
Process 🧑🍳
Take a kadai, heat the oil, add Cumin seeds and Asafoetida and Green chilli, waits untill it's start crackling.
Now at low Flame, add all the Indian spices mentioned above.
Add the boiled Potatoes and Mix it well so that spices get coated with potatoes.
Now add the sugar, to give its gujarati flavour.
mix gently without breaking potatoes.
Toss the potatoes at low flame, so that spices are absorb by potatoes.
Serve the Gujarti aloos with fried poori, Parathan.
