Lachha Paratha (Multi layered flatbread) - Crispy & Delicious...

Today i would like to share the recipe of Lachha Paratha it is unique, flaky, layered Indian flatbread prepared with wheat flour and Ghee. It is prepared by applying ghee and flour, creating pleats, and coiling it into a spiral shape before giving the multiple layered.
It is extension version of Roti and paratha, to be clear it is not at all healthy as it lots of oil, one can enjoy it occasionally. It is crispy and delicious in taste, you can paired it with any gravy or with pickle or Chutney, it can enjoy in breakfast or lunch or dinner, it should be served hot to enjoy the crispness. It is common indian recipe, as wheat dough is available in our kitchen always, to make your little special served with Laccha paratha. Try this recipe 'm sure you would like it.

Ingredients 📃


• 2 cup wheat flour.
• ¼ tsp ajwain(optional).
• ½ tsp salt.
• 2 tbsp oil.
• water as required.
• ghee, for layers
• oil for roasting.


Process 👨🏻‍🍳

Firstly, on a large vessel (paraat)wheat flour, ajwain, salt and 2 tbsp of oil. Mix well so that everything combine well.

Add water to knead, Knead to smooth and soft dough. keep it for rest atleast for 5 mins.

After resting the dough, knead the dough slightly and pinch a ball-sized.

dust some wheat to avoid the stickiness.

With the help of rolling pin, make a thin big circle as shown in the picture.

With the help of knife or pizza cutter, cut the paratha

Do this till you come to the end.

add some Desi ghee in between, spread it with your hand thoroughly.

From the edge start folding and pleating the rolled dough as shown in the photo above.

Make a roll as shown in the picture.

Roll the pleated dough in a tight cirlce. Join the edges.

Dust some flour and now start rolling again. Rolled laccha paratha is ready to be put on tawa.

Heat the tawa on high flame, When the tawa becomes hot then place the paratha on it.

Turn the paratha when one side is partly cooked

Apply oil on this side. Wait for the second side to cook. Turn multiple time untill it get well Cook.

Cook until the paratha turns golden and crisp.

Finally, crush the Lachha Paratha Recipe and enjoy it with curry.
