Today i would like to share the recipe of Nutrela Rice(Soya chunks Pulao), it is flavoured rice with soya Chunks cooked in a pressure cooker. It is one pot recipe, which is perfect for tiffin box too. It is healthy meal and easy & quick to prepared as it is rich in carbs, nutrients and fibers. There are various way to make it, but as always i want that my dish to be more simple and quick but should be more delicious and Healthy. Even in this recipe you can add vegetable as your liking or availability in your home. Nutrela Rice Or Soya Pulao is one such popular option known for its rich protein source.

Ingredients📃


For Boiling Soya Chunks

• 1 cup soya chunks.
• 1 tsp salt
• water,for boiling

For Rice(Pulao)

• 2 cup of Rice.
• 2 tbsp of Oil/ Desi Ghee.
• 1 chopped Onion.
• 1 tbsp of Cumin Seeds.
• 1 tbsp of Turmeric Powder.
• 1 tbsp of Red chilli Powder.
• 1 tbsp of Garam Masala.
• Pinch of asafoetida.
• Salt to taste.
• 4 cups of water.


Process 👨🏻‍🍳


Take a sauce pan, add water 1 tsp salt and get to a rolling boil. Add the Soya chunks for 5 mins. Drain off the soya chunks and keep them aside

Raise the rice twice or thrice to remove the dirt from it, soaked it them for atleast 15 minutes.

Take a pressure, Heat the oil, add cumin seeds and Asafoetida, wait untill it start crackling.

Now add Chopped onion, saute it untill it get translucent.

Once your onion is done, then on low flame, add the indian spices Turmeric powder, red chilli powder. be careful thats your spices didn't burn.

Soya chunks are healthy as it is high source of Fiber, carbs and nutrients.

now add boiled Soya chunks, then little water so thats soya chunks sucks some spices into it.

now add the soaked rice, then mix it upside and down so that masala get mix well. Pour the water till it cover the rice level.

Pour in water. Mix well and get to a boil. Cover it with the lead, on high flame wait for 2 whistles.

Let's wait untill the pressure release by own, Open the lead, then Serve the hot Nurtela Rice(pulao), paired it up with Curd, Green chutney, picke or Papad to make it more tempting and delicious.

Tip - you can add more vegetables as more your liking and availability in your Home.
