Today i would like to share the recipe of Semiya* It is healthy breakfast recipe made with thin vermicelli or asian noodles with vegetables and flavour of Indian spices. It is common & popular breakfast recipe of india, which is liked by everyone, cooked atleast once a week. There are many ways of making Savory vermicelli, it is simplest and quickest recipe with lots of veggies, even you add more veggies of your choice. The taste is derived mainly from the onions and vegetables, with a hint of lemon juice added at the end of the recipe

Ingredients📃
• 1 cup of Vermicelli.
• 1 chopped Onion.
• 1/2 chopped Capsicum.
• 1 chopped Carrot.
• 1 chopped tomato.
• 2 Slit Green Chilli.
• 3 tbsp of oil.
• 1 tbsp of Mustard Seeds.
• 5-6 Neem leaves.
• 1/2 tbsp of turmeric Powder.
• 1/2 tbsp of Red Chilli Powder.
• 1/2 tbsp of garam masala.
• 2 cup of water.
• 1/2 tbsp of Lemon Juice.
• Salt to taste.
• Geeen Coriander Leaves for Garnish.
Process 👨🏻🍳

Heat the kadai/pan, roast vermicelli on a low flame till it changes colour. Be careful, there is high chances of burning of Vermicelli, so keep Toasting it.

Roast it untill it get brown in colour. Keep the roasted vermicelli aside.

In the same kadai/pan, Heat the oil, add the Mustard seeds and neem leaves,wait until it start sputter.

Now add chopped veggies - onion, capsicum and Carrot. saute slightly till the veggie get Crunchy.

Lower the flame, add the spices - Turmeric Powder, red Chilli powder, garam masala and Salt. Saute it untill it get aromatic.

Now the tomato, saute it untill it get soft in Texture. Mix it well so that everything combine well.

Now, the roasted vermicelli, mix it well, so that spices get well coated with the roasted vermicelli.

add the water. Once the water comes to a boil, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

Turn off the flame,Keeo the kadai covered it for 5-6 minutes,as it helps to make vermicelli more fluffy.

Sprinkle some Coriander powder and Lemon Juice, your Vermicelli is Ready to serve.
