Today i would like to share the recipe of Vermicelli it is healthy breakfast recipe made with thin vermicelli with veggies of your choice and Spices. It is simple and quick recipe with minimal Ingredients, you can add roasted peanuts or veggies of choice like carrot or beans to make it more healthy. It is common Indian breakfast, even ideal recipe for tiffin, vermicelli is common allover the india, even there are various of preparing it.

Ingredients 📃
• 1 cup of Vermicelli.
• 2 tbsp of Oil.
• 1 tbsp mustard Seeds.
• ½ tsp cumin.
• 1 chopped Onion.
• 1 Chopped Tomato.
• ½ tsp turmeric.
• ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
• ½ Sachet of Maggi Masala.
• Salt to taste.
• Water as Required.

Heat the kadai, Add the Vermicelli into it. Remember no need to oil now

On a low flame Roast the vermicelli till it changes colour. Keep Stirring in between, there is chances of burning it from the bottom as vermicelli has thin structure. When your Vermicelli Get well Roasted, Keep it aside.
Tip : I recommend roasting, even if you are using roasted vermicelli, to get a non-sticky texture.

Heat the oil in the same kadai,

add cumin seeds & mustard seeds, cumin & Asafoetida. Saute it untill it start crackling.

Add chopped Onion, saute it until it translucent.

Then add Chopped Tomato, cooked it untill it get soft & Mashy.

Lower the flame, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder & Maggi Masala, mix it well. Saute it untill it get aromatic.
Tip: Be careful there is high chances of burning spice, immediately add few drops of Water to avoid burnt spices.


Add the water, remember add the till the level of vermicelli, don't add to much water.

Once the water comes to a boil, cover and simmer for 10 minutes or untill get well cooked.

Switch off the flame, keep it cover for 5 minutes, so that vermicelli soaked the moisture.

Squeeze the lemon(if required) and garnish it with Green Coriander leaves.

Serve the hot vermicelli in your breakfast with your tea or coffee.
