Alot of people have interest in exploring food outside their culture, not just exploring but knowing how to prepare these cuisines, so I will be showing us how to make FUFU from cassava flour or paste.
FUFU is a west African dish eaten with different soups like egusi soup, Afang soup, okro soup, any soup of your choice.
I will be showing us a step by step process of making FUFU.
STEP 1: Firstly measure your cassava paste according to the portion you need.
STEP 2: Add water and mix your FUFU paste into a slurry liquid, not too thick and not too runny. Make sure there are no lumps, everything is even.
STEP 3: Put your pot on fire and stir your FUFU at rapid intervals, making sure that it mixes evenly. The FUFU paste starts getting thick and changes colour to milky.
STEP 4: Continue stirring until everything evens out and has the same milky color. Turn your FUFU into a clean container and allow to get cool a bit, not too cool though.
STEP 5: Use a little water to mix your FUFU into a fine smooth swallow. Your FUFU is ready to be eaten with any soup of your choice. Try this at home and thank me later.
PS: You can get your FUFU flour or paste from any African store close to you.
