Hola chicos, inicio de semana. Espero se encuentren todos muy bien. Hoy deseo compartirles mi visita a uno de mis mayores antojos... El pollo frito, pero no cualquiera, sino uno que para mí es el mejor.
Y aunque siempre lo suelo comer en Caracas (la capital de mi país). ¡Qué maravilla fue para mí saber que ya desde hace un tiempo en Valencia contamos con una sede de KFC para ir a disfrutarlo también! Además de que me queda bastante cerca de mi casa (por la Avenida Bolívar Norte, más específico en la bomba de gasolina cerca del anterior centro comercial Éxito). Por lo que es un antojo que sí o sí me pedía hacer algo. 🍗
Yo pensaba que el diseño sería algo más clásico, pero solo el llegar ya la vista es más que colorida (con el tradicional rojo para despertar el aptito) y llena de muy buena vibra (me encantó la fachada moderna y al mismo tiempo tradicional de esta marca).
Aunque llegamos a eso del medio día, habían pocas personas cuando llegué (y menos mal porque después se llenó de una forma impresionante jeje). 😄
Si bien este local es de Auto servicio (que puedes ir en tu carro y retirar tu pedido sin salir de él). Yo preferí vivir la experiencia en el local.
Algo que tengo que volver a hacer énfasis es en lo moderno que es por dentro y que para mí todo está perfectamente diseñado para hacerte vivir también una experiencia de auto servicio (algo parecido a como si estuviéramos dentro de un coche), porque puedes pedir tu orden en uno de los tres monitores que están colocados cerca de la caja, bueno, para ser más específica es obligatorio, porque la caja es solo para pagos en efectivo (dólares o bolívares).
Y aunque el menú es bastante variado yo ya iba más que decidida con mi pedido, por lo que hacerlo fue bastante rápido. Ambas pedimos hamburguesas de pollo acompañadas con unas papas fritas y biscuits (casi que solo voy es por estos panes que me fascinan y que son tan clásicos de poder disfrutar solo en KFC). Por supuesto, sin dejar a un lado las bebidas que ambas pedimos… 7UP.

Lo más divertido de hacer el pedido para mí fue agarrar este dispositivo, que hay que colocar el número en el monitor para que así, cuando tu orden esté lista, este se active con una alarma que sí o sí vas a escuchar para saber que te tienes que parar... Está muy bien pensado, sobre todo para los que cuando llegamos nos ponemos a hablar y puede que retirar la orden se nos pase por algunos minutos. 🔔
Aunque de lo rápido que nos atendieron no tengo quejas y además, con el dispositivo les comenté se facilita mucho el pararse de una para ir a buscar la comida.
Como pueden ver, todo super bien presentado y con la temperatura adecuada (ni muy caliente ni muy frío). 😌

Como tenía cierto tiempo que no comía pollo en KFC, desenvolver mi pedido fue toda una experiencia. Me encantó porque me trajo muy lindos recuerdos de cuando fui a Caracas (además de que no era muy sencillo encontrarlo en Caracas). Por lo que disfrute mi pollo como una niña grande jeje 🙈.

Todo estaba muy bueno. A la hamburguesa se le sentía la mayonesa supercremosa y hacia un gran contraste con la ketchup (no sé por qué, pero cuando preparo hamburguesas en casa nunca saben igual). Además, las papas estaban muy crocantes y los biscuits ni se digan, estaban increíbles, tienen un sabor tan característico y difícil de igualar que para mí ellos, más el pollo tradicional, son los que hacen de KFC lo que es… ¡Simplemente único! 🥰

Miren lo que es esta textura tan increíble y que, si no prestas atención, se te desmorona en la mano. Esa misma textura imagínala en tu boca y dime cómo no amar estos biscuits.
Les confieso que me tomé mi tiempo con mi pollito (aunque yo suelo comer rápido). Y aunque podía agrandar el pedido (porque había esa opción), tengo que confesar que no fue necesario porque, si no vas con demasiada hambre (como fue mi caso), quedas más que satisfecho. Peeero, si no fuera por unos niños que ví, no me hubiese antojado también de un postre... Para ser más específica, de una barquilla (la cual pedí cuando el local estaba más lleno). 🍦
Miren lo deliciosa que se ve. Aunque es de vainilla con chocolate, no sé por qué para mí el chocolate tenía un sabor como a caramelo (o como le llaman en Argentina, a dulce de leche).
Lo que me gustó de este postre es que puedes pedirla con el cono tradicional o con el cono relleno de sirope de chocolate (adivinen cuál pedí yo... El segundo). 😋
Definitivamente fue una experiencia que volveré a repetir pronto, pero con otra orden (pollo tradicional). Así que si están en Valencia y no han ido les recomiendo totalmente pasarse por esta sede de auto servicio... Estoy segura de que saldrán igual de contentos que yo.

Hey guys, happy start of the week! I hope you’re all doing great. Today I want to share my visit to one of my biggest cravings… Fried chicken — but not just any fried chicken, the one that (for me) is the best.
And even though I usually eat it in Caracas (the capital of my country), it was amazing to find out that Valencia has had a KFC for a while now, so I can enjoy it here too! Plus, it’s super close to my house (on Avenida Bolívar Norte, specifically by the gas station near the former Éxito mall). So this craving was definitely calling my name. 🍗
I thought the design would be more classic, but as soon as you arrive, everything is so bright and colorful (with that traditional red that instantly wakes up your appetite) and full of good vibes. I loved the modern yet still traditional façade of the brand.
Even though we arrived around noon, there were only a few people when we got there (thankfully, because later it got unbelievably crowded lol). 😄
Even though this location has Drive-Thru service (so you can order from your car without getting out), I preferred to experience everything inside.
One thing I have to emphasize again is how modern the place is on the inside, and honestly, everything seems perfectly designed to give you a drive-thru–style experience even indoors—kind of like being inside a car. You place your order on one of the three screens near the counter. Actually, to be more precise, it’s mandatory, since the counter is only for cash payments (in dollars or bolívares).
And even though the menu is pretty varied, I already knew exactly what I wanted, so ordering was quick. We both ordered chicken sandwiches with fries and biscuits (I swear, sometimes I go just for those biscuits because they’re my absolute favorites and so iconic at KFC). Of course, we also grabbed drinks… both 7UP.

The funniest part for me was grabbing the little device where you enter your order number on the screen so that, once your food is ready, it goes off with an alarm you can’t miss. It’s super handy, especially for people like me who start chatting and might forget to pick up the order for a couple of minutes. 🔔
They served us really fast, so no complaints there, and the device definitely makes it easier to get up right away when your food’s ready.
As you can see, everything was nicely presented and at the perfect temperature (not too hot, not too cold). 😌

Since it had been a while since I’d had KFC chicken, unwrapping my food felt like a whole experience. I loved it because it brought back beautiful memories of when I used to go in Caracas (and it wasn’t even that easy to find there!). So yes, I enjoyed my chicken like a happy grown-up kid lol 🙈.

Everything tasted amazing. The mayo on the sandwich was super creamy and made such a great contrast with the ketchup (I don’t know why, but no matter how hard I try, homemade burgers never taste the same). The fries were perfectly crispy, and the biscuits… wow. They were incredible — that unique flavor that’s so hard to replicate. For me, those biscuits plus the traditional chicken are what make KFC what it is… simply iconic! 🥰

Look at this gorgeous texture — if you’re not careful, it crumbles right in your hand. Now imagine that same texture in your mouth… tell me, how can anyone not fall in love with these biscuits?
I’ll admit I took my time with my chicken (even though I usually eat fast). And even though I could have upsized the meal, it wasn’t necessary because if you’re not super hungry (like I wasn’t), it’s more than enough. Buuut… if it hadn’t been for some kids I saw, I probably wouldn’t have ended up craving dessert too. And to be more specific… I went for an ice cream cone (which I got once the place was much more crowded). 🍦
Look how delicious it looks. Even though it’s vanilla with chocolate, for some reason the chocolate tasted kind of like caramel (or like “dulce de leche,” as they call it in Argentina).
What I loved about this dessert is that you can order it with the traditional cone or the one filled with chocolate syrup (guess which one I ordered… the second one). 😋
It was definitely an experience I’ll repeat soon, but next time with a different order (the traditional chicken). So if you’re in Valencia and haven’t visited yet, I totally recommend checking out this drive-thru location. I’m sure you’ll walk out just as happy as I did.
