Mousse fit de café y vainilla [ESP-ENG]

Hoy, como cada domingo, sigo con mi ayuno intermitente, y se me antojó romperlo con algo alto en proteína, ligero y fresco. Así que decidí prepararme un mousse fit de café y vainilla, y déjenme decirles… ¡fue todo un acierto!

Este mousse es cremoso y ligero, gracias a las claras montadas, y el café expreso le da un toque intenso y aromático que despierta todos los sentidos. La vainilla y la miel aportan dulzor natural y suavidad, sin dejar la sensación pesada que suelen tener otros postres. Además, es rico en proteína, así que es perfecto para cuidar mis músculos después de entrenar y a la vez consentirme un poquito.

Ingredientes:
• 1 huevo (separar clara y yema)
• 3 cucharadas de leche en polvo
• 1 cucharada de miel
• 1/2 cucharadita de esencia de vainilla
• 1-2 cucharaditas de café expreso fuerte
• Opcional: cacao en polvo o canela para decorar

Nota: en la foto aparece polvo de hornear por error, pero no lo vamos a usar.

Preparación:

• Batir la clara a punto de nieve hasta que quede firme; esto le dará aire y ligereza al mousse.

• En otro bowl, mezclar la yema con miel, leche en polvo, vainilla y café hasta que quede homogéneo.

• Lo ideal sería pasteurizar la yema para evitar riesgos de salmonella, pero yo personalmente decidí omitir este paso.

• Incorporar la clara montada a la mezcla de yema, miel, leche y vainilla con movimientos envolventes y suaves, para no perder el aire.

• Verter en un bowl pequeño de cristal para que se vea bonito.

• Refrigerar 20-30 minutos antes de servir; en mi caso, decidí esperar una hora según mi gusto personal.

El resultado me encantó: textura ligera y cremosa, con un toque aireado que se deshace en la boca. El sabor es intenso a café, pero equilibrado con la dulzura natural de la miel y la suavidad de la vainilla. Perfecto para un domingo fit, fresco y reconfortante.

Today, like every Sunday, I’m following my intermittent fasting, and I felt like breaking it with something high in protein, light, and refreshing. So I decided to make a fit coffee and vanilla mousse, and let me tell you… it was a total success!

This mousse is creamy and light, thanks to the whipped egg whites, and the espresso gives it an intense, aromatic kick that wakes up all your senses. The vanilla and honey add natural sweetness and smoothness, without the heaviness that other desserts often have. Plus, it’s rich in protein, so it’s perfect for taking care of my muscles after training while treating myself a little.

Ingredients:

• 1 egg (separate yolk and white)
• 3 tablespoons of powdered milk
• 1 tablespoon of honey
• 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
• 1-2 teaspoons of strong espresso
• Optional: cocoa powder or cinnamon for decoration

Note: In the photo, baking powder appears by mistake, but we’re not using it.

Instructions:

• Whip the egg white until stiff peaks form; this will give the mousse airiness and lightness.

• In another bowl, mix the yolk with honey, powdered milk, vanilla, and coffee until smooth.

• Ideally, you should pasteurize the yolk to avoid the risk of salmonella, but I personally decided to skip this step.

• Gently fold the whipped egg white into the yolk, honey, milk, and vanilla mixture, using soft, folding motions to keep the air.

• Pour into a small glass bowl for a nice presentation.

• Chill for 20-30 minutes before serving; in my case, I decided to wait an hour according to my personal preference.

I loved the result: light and creamy texture, with an airy touch that melts in your mouth. The flavor is intensely coffee, balanced with the natural sweetness of honey and the smoothness of vanilla. Perfect for a fit Sunday, refreshing and comforting.
