  • Good evening, hivefood friends! I wish you a wonderful weekend! This time, I'll explain how to make a "delicious cabbage salad with carrots, zucchini, and corn". You can use it as a side dish to complement countless dishes. I'm sure you'll love this recipe as much as I do!
  • Buenas noches amigos de hivefood, les deseo un maravilloso fin de semana! En esta ocasión, les explicaré como preparar una "deliciosa ensalada de repollo con zanahoria, calabacín y maíz". Pueden utilizar como guarnición para complementar infinidad de platillos, estoy segura que amarán esta receta tanto como yo!

  • INGREDIENTS: white cabbage, carrots, zucchini, fresh coriander, corn kernels, scallions, mayonnaise, brown sugar, pepper, and pink salt.
  • INGREDIENTES: repollo blanco, zanahorias, calabacín, cilantro fresco, granos de maíz, cebollín, mayonesa, azúcar morena, pimienta y sal rosada.

PREPARATION/PREPARACIÓN

  • We cut the cabbage into VERY thin strips... Let it sit for 30 minutes in water with white vinegar. This will allow its texture to soften slightly and also ensure it's thoroughly disinfected. Then we wash and strain it to remove the vinegary flavor.
  • Cortamos el repollo en tiras MUY delgadas... Dejamos reposar durante 30 minutos en agua con vinagre blanco, esto permitirá que su textura se ablande un poco, por otra parte conseguiremos que se desinfecte bien. Luego procedemos a lavar y colar, para así extraer el sabor avinagrado.

  • We grate the carrot and zucchini on the coarse side, I suggest leaving the skin on the zucchini.
  • Rallamos la zanahoria y el calabacín por el lado grueso, les sugiero dejar la piel al calabacín.

  • We add the cabbage and carrot to a deep container... Mix.
  • Añadimos en un envase hondo el repollo junto con la zanahoria... Mezclamos.

  • Next, we add the "zucchini". I suggest squeezing it with your hands before adding it to extract all the liquid. Add the corn kernels. For this recipe, I usually use the canned version, as its texture is very smooth and its flavor is sweeter.
  • A continuación, colocamos el "calabacín", les sugiero antes de añadir exprimir con las manos, para así extraer todo el líquido... Incorporamos los granos de maíz, para esta receta suelo utilizar la presentación enlatada, ya que su textura es muy suave y su sabor es más dulzón.

  • We add the mayonnaise... We season with: pepper, brown sugar and salt.
  • Agregamos la mayonesa... Aliñamos con: pimienta, azúcar morena y sal.

  • We mix with gentle, enveloping movements...
  • Mezclamos con movimientos suaves y envolventes...

  • We add the chives... We cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, so that the ingredients are well coated with the dressing.
  • Integramos el cebollín... Tapamos, reservamos en la nevera durante 2 horas, para que los ingredientes se impregnen bien con el aderezo.
