COOKING ON SUNDAYS: Stuffed eggs
A Sunday full of happiness to all hivers, especially those who love cooking and good food. After some time without posting in this friendly community, I return to share with you a very simple recipe that will allow us to taste, in a different way, the flavour of the ingredients that I present below.

Tenía yo dos colegas de aventuras que eran uña y carne, siempre estaban pegados. Quiso la casualidad que sus respectivas madres alumbraran un mismo día del mes de mayo. Como la mamá primeriza de uno de los recién nacidos, en un inicio no tuvo leche suficiente para saciar el apetito de su hijo, su comadre, se encargó de amamantar al hambriento, a la par que alimentaba al suyo. Por eso los muchachos crecieron escuchando que ellos eran hermanos de leche.
Físicamente, no se parecían en nada. Uno era blanco, gordo y pequeño, el otro moreno, flaco y alto. Pero esas diferencias nunca fueron un impedimento para que ellos defendieran fehacientemente la tesis de su hermandad. Su lazo afectivo no estaba hecho de lo que se ve.
En el pueblo, donde todo el mundo tenía un apodo, enseguida se olvidaron de sus nombres de bautizo y los llamaron: Huevo y Salchicha. Cuando comenzaron en la escuela, la maestra tuvo que romper la regla que establecían un puesto en el aula según el orden alfabético de los apellidos, porque a aquellos dos no hubo Dios que los separara. De esta forma compartieron pupitre aun cuando continuaron en la segunda enseñanza.
Así fueron creciendo hasta que sintieron el despertar de las hormonas del amor. Tan importante acontecimiento les sucedió a los dos el mismo día. Esa fecha no fue una cualquiera, sucedió precisamente el día en que la profesora presentó a la nueva alumna que se incorporaba al aula, luego de mudarse para el pueblo. Huevo y Salchicha, como no era extraño, al unísono, se enamoraron de la muchacha tan solo de verla entrar.
How about if I tell you a story about my hometown while we cook?
I had two adventurous colleagues who were always close to each other. As chance would have it, their respective mothers gave birth on the same day in May. As the new mother of one of the newborns did not have enough milk to satisfy her son's appetite at the beginning, her comadre took it upon herself to breastfeed the hungry one, at the same time as she fed her own. So the boys grew up hearing that they were milk brothers.
Physically, they looked nothing alike. One was white, fat and small, the other dark, skinny and tall. But these differences were never an impediment for them to defend the thesis of their brotherhood. Their bond of affection was not made of what you can see.
In the village, where everyone had a nickname, they soon forgot their baptismal names and called them Egg and Sausage. When they started school, the teacher had to break the rule that established a place in the classroom according to the alphabetical order of the surnames, because there was no God to separate those two. In this way they shared a desk even when they continued in the secondary school.
Thus, they grew up until they felt the awakening of the hormones of love. Such an important event happened to both of them on the same day. That date was not just any day, it happened precisely on the day when the teacher introduced the new pupil who was joining the class, after moving to the village. Egg and Sausage, unsurprisingly, fell in love with the girl as soon as they saw her enter.

The new girl, according to local custom, had her nickname within a week. They called her Mayonnaise, because she always brought a loaf of bread spread with the exquisite sauce for her afternoon snack.
It was precisely because of Mayonnaise that the inseparable friends in this story had a disagreement for the first time. Now, the two of them did everything they could to get the teacher to move them to the free seat next to the newcomer.
Egg and Sausage began to distance themselves from each other and to seek the closeness of Mayonnaise. They no longer studied together, no longer agreed to go to the river after school, no longer shared their snacks. Now, each was willing to take the place of the other in these matters, and would gladly give it to the beautiful Mayonnaise.
The young girl, who was more life experience, coming from the big city, soon realised that the two friends would do anything to win her attention. She enjoyed being lusted after and took her time in choosing which of the beaus she would keep.
