šŸŒÆšŸ˜‹Delicious Chicken Shawarma | Perfect Evening Snack

šŸŽ€Good afternoon, Hive community food lover friends. How are your days going? I always feel very excited about when I get to share different kinds of food recipes with you. Today, I’ve brought a new and delicious recipe just for you. For today’s afternoon snack, I made Chicken Shawarma.
I often share snack items with you, and among them this is one of my most favorite snacks—one that I believe you’ll love just as much as I do. Today, I’ll be sharing the Chicken Shawarma recipe.

To make Chicken Shawarma, we need three types of preparation: first, making the dough for the bread; second, the chicken filling; and third, the mayonnaise.

šŸ‘‰Ingredients for the Chicken Filling:
Chicken breast meat
Soy sauce
Tomato sauce
Salt
Coriander powder
Cumin powder
Ginger-garlic paste
Chili powder
Lemon juice
Black pepper powder
Preparation:

🌮First, cut the chicken into small pieces. I used boneless meat here.

If you can use chicken breast pieces, that’s even better. I used a good amount of chicken because the more filling you have—and the tastier it is—the better the shawarma will be. After cutting the chicken into small cube-shaped pieces, transfer them to a bowl.

Then add salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, chili powder, black pepper powder, tomato sauce, soy sauce, and a little lemon juice. Mix everything well and marinate for about 30 minutes.

After that, heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the chicken pieces well.

Then add some chopped onion and chopped green chili to it.
Ingredients for the Mayonnaise:
2 boiled eggs
Soybean oil
Black pepper
Salt
Sugar
Milk powder
Green chili
Preparation:
First, put two boiled eggs, two green chilies, one tablespoon of sugar, half a teaspoon of salt, milk powder, oil, and black pepper into a blender jar.

Blend everything well. If the mixture feels too thick, add a little water and blend again. Do not add the oil all at once—add it in two or three steps while blending. This way, the mayonnaise will be ready very easily.
Preparing the Bread (Naan):

Now let’s make the outer part of the shawarma—the naan bread. For good naan, the dough needs to be perfect.

I’ll share a quick tip if you want to prepare it fast. If you have time, you can let the dough rest properly.

First, take a mixing bowl and add lukewarm water. Add two tablespoons of sugar, one teaspoon of salt, three tablespoons of milk powder, and two tablespoons of yeast. Then add flour and knead well to make a smooth dough. Let the dough rest for two hours.
If you don’t have that much time, boil some water in a pot and place the bowl of dough over the pot (not touching the water). Within 10 to 15 minutes, the dough will rise perfectly. Then make the naan and fry them.
Final Assembly:

Mix the mayonnaise and chicken together, place the mixture in the middle of the naan, fold it from both sides, and secure it with a toothpick. I didn’t have foil paper, otherwise wrapping it in foil also looks very nice. I served it with tomato on top.
