Este año sin planearlo tuve la oportunidad de comer por primera vez en Papa Johns y esa sin duda fue toda una experiencia y aunque ya les hablé de ello en un post anterior aun me faltaba hablarles del postre y es precisamente ese el tema que les traigo hoy.
Al igual que las pizzas fue difícil decidir que postre ordenar, pues, disponían de diferentes opciones y todas eran muy tentadoras, sin embargo, debíamos tomar en cuenta su precio para no pasarnos del consumo que nos quedaba luego de haber ordenado las pizzas, hasta que finalmente pudimos decidirnos eligiendo los roles de canela y de nutella.
This year without planning it I had the opportunity to eat for the first time at Papa Johns and that without It was definitely an experience and although I already told you about it in a previous post I still needed to tell you about the dessert and that is precisely the topic I bring to you today.
Like the pizzas, it was difficult to decide which dessert to order, since they had different options and they were all very tempting, however, we had to take into account their price so as not to go over the consumption that we had left after having ordered the pizzas, until Finally we were able to decide by choosing the roles of cinnamon and nutella.
Inicialmente quería pedir como postre una torta de queso porque me llamaba la atención al ver la foto en el menú pero cuando me informaron que no había disponible en ese momento tuve que elegir otro diferente, el chico que me atendió me recomendó las galletas con chispas de chocolate que aunque en el menú reflejaban un precio de 1.5$ en ese momento estaban en promoción y quedaban en 1$ pero yo me decidí fue por los roles de canela, sin embargo, aún me quedaba algo del consumo y podía elegir algo más para completar y fue allí cuando el chico me dijo que los roles de nutella son muy buenos y que de hecho los piden mucho, así que sin pensarlo dos veces los agregué a mi pedido completando así el monto total de mi consumo gratis en Papa Johns.
Initially I wanted to order a cheesecake for dessert because it caught my attention when I saw the photo on the menu, but when they informed me that it was not available at that time I had to choose a different one, the boy who served me recommended the cookies with sprinkles. chocolate that although the menu reflected a price of $1.5 at that time they were on sale and were at $1 but I decided it was for the cinnamon rolls, however, I still had some of the consumption left and I could choose something else to complete and that was when the boy told me that the nutella rolls are very good and that in fact they ask for them a lot, so without thinking twice I added them to my order, thus completing the total amount of my free consumption at *Papa Johns *.
El postre al igual que la segunda pizza que ordenamos lo pedimos para llevar y aunque estábamos bastante satisfechos luego de almorzar una enorme pizza debo decir que el aroma que desprendían las cajas hacia que me tentara mucho en probar en ese momento, sin embargo, me resistí de hacerlo para poder disfrutar de los roles en otro momento que terminó siendo al día siguiente y como no podía probarlos así solos los acompañé con una malta bien fría, una excelente combinación por cierto.
The dessert, like the second pizza we ordered, was ordered to go and although we were quite satisfied after having a huge pizza for lunch, I must say that the aroma that the boxes gave off made me very tempted to try it at that moment, however, I resisted to do it so I could enjoy the roles at another time, which ended up being the next day, and since I couldn't try them alone, I accompanied them with a very cold malt, an excellent combination by the way.
Ahora bien, entrando al tema de los rolls como tal comenzaré por decirles que cada ración constaba de 8 piezas en total por un valor de 4.5$ los de canela y 5.5$ los de nutella, un buen precio a mi parecer. En cuanto al tamaño me parecieron bastante adecuados aunque su forma era bastante dispareja, pues, todos tenían formas y tamaños diferentes e incluso nos encontramos con uno bastante pequeño que llegó a ser pura masa casi sin relleno.
Now, getting into the topic of the rolls as such, I will begin by telling you that each serving consisted of 8 pieces in total for a value of $4.5 for the cinnamon rolls and $5.5 for the Nutella ones, a good price in my opinion. As for the size, they seemed quite adequate to me although their shape was quite uneven, well, they all had different shapes and sizes and we even found one quite small that turned out to be pure dough with almost no filling.
De textura estaban un poco duros por el frío de la nevera pero una vez que pasaron un rato en temperatura ambiente se volvieron más suaves aunque a su vez estaban un tanto crujientes, aún así no fue problema para mí poder morderlos, tenían una buena cantidad de relleno a excepción del pequeño deforme y además tenían una capa de glaseado deliciosamente dulce y rico.
Los rolls de canela estaban muy buenos y aunque han sido muy pocas veces las que he probado uno de estos estoy más que segura que estos han sido los mejores y por mucho.
In texture they were a little hard due to the cold of the refrigerator but once they spent a while at room temperature they became softer although at the same time they were a bit crunchy, it was still no problem for me to be able to bite them, they had a good amount of stuffed except for the small misshapen one and they also had a layer of deliciously sweet and rich frosting.
The cinnamon rolls were very good and although I have only tried one of these very rarely, I am more than sure that these have been the best by far.
En definitiva los rolls de canela estaban deliciosos pero los de nutella estaban mucho mejores y no creo que sea necesario tener que explicar la razón, es decir, si un roll de canela común les parece delicioso imagínense uno que en lugar de canela esté relleno de nutella, es algo ¡simplemente delicioso!
Ahora, para concluir con el tema de Papa Johns puedo decir que toda la experiencia fue increíble y cada una de las elecciones que hice del menú tanto de pizzas como de postres fueron muy buenas y sin duda acertadas, apenas fueron 2 opciones de postres las que probé pero espero volver en cualquier momento a probar otras opciones.
In short, the cinnamon rolls were delicious but the Nutella ones were much better and I don't think it's necessary to have to explain the reason, that is, if a regular cinnamon roll seems delicious to you, imagine one that instead of cinnamon is filled with Nutella , it is something simply delicious!
Now, to conclude with the topic of Papa Johns I can say that the entire experience was incredible and each of the choices I made from the menu, both pizzas and desserts, were very good and without a doubt correct, there were only 2 options of desserts the ones I tried but I hope to return at any time to try other options.
