Hi everyone, today I'm taking you out for dinner. It's a dinner with my colleagues from both a hotel and a restaurant ”LA CARRETA” This is our last day of work for the season, a farewell party for our team.
There are about 10 of us here in Valencia, Spain. Rice is a popular local dish, but we tried to order it and it wasn't on the menu. Another recommended dish here is probably steak.
We sat at separate tables, all together, before the main courses arrived. We had drinks and ordered appetizers. The appetizers were ham, cheese, and french fries with a sauce – they looked delicious and were perfect as starters.
We each ordered a steak, some even ordered the same thing. They have beef, pork, and lamb steaks. I ordered a beef steak, and several others ordered different kinds. The steaks we ordered looked something like this.
I have to say, the dish I ordered was incredibly delicious. The restaurant offers two sauce options: spicy and non-spicy. The spiciness isn't overpowering; it's a mild, well-balanced flavor.
The sauce paired perfectly with the steak. As I mentioned, the steak was incredibly tender and delicious. It was served with French fries and fried bell peppers, Spanish style.
Everything was perfectly balanced and delicious. The steak, especially with red wine, was a fantastic pairing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and this was our last meal of the season.
We finished with a cup of coffee each. It's common to drink coffee before bed here, but it didn't affect us; people here can still sleep normally after drinking coffee. We didn't order any dessert because we had already enjoyed beer, wine, and a hearty meal.
