Mayak Egg: Korean Marinated Egg

Hi, bloggers and food lovers. Today, as my entry for @qurator's contest : Qurator's Hive Top Chef , I'm going to share a simple korean marinated egg recipe that's easy and simple to make. Just chop all the ingredients, mix them together, and let them sit overnight before serving. Okay, let's get started.

Ingredients:

  • Eggs
  • Light soy sauce
  • Dark soy sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • 1 spring onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 5 green chilies
  • 5 red chilies
  • 200 ml water
  • Sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Boil the eggs for 7 minutes in boiling water

  • After 7 minutes, remove and place in cold water/ice water to stop the cooking process

  • Set aside

  • Prepare the ingredients for the egg marinade

  • Chop the spring onion, garlic, onion, red chili peppers, and green chili peppers

  • Prepare a container/jar/bowl

  • Add the chopped ingredients

  • Add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, and water until the ingredients are submerged

  • Peel the eggs

  • Place them in the container until submerged

  • Let them sit in the chiller for 24 hours, the longer they sit, the better they taste after 24 hours I add toasted sesame

  • Serve with warm rice, toasted sesame seeds, and seaweed

  • This easy and delicious dish is ready to eat
