Hi bloggers and food lovers, hope you’re having a great day. Today I’m going to make my very first batch of homemade churros. Until now, I only knew that churros were delicious and probably hard to make, but it turns out—after doing some research—that the ingredients are very easy to find and they’re actually simple to make. I couldn’t find my piping tip while making these, so I just shaped them into straight sticks. Okay, let’s get right to it
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 150 ml water
- 4 tbsp margarine
- 2 eggs
- 12 tbsp all-purpose flour
- cooking oil
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- chocolate sauce (optional)
Instructions:

- Put the sugar in a pan

- Add the water to the pan

- Add the margarine to the pan

- Turn on the heat and cook all the ingredients over low heat until they dissolve and come to a boil

- Once it boils, turn off the heat and add the all-purpose flour

- Mix until the dough is well combined and smooth

- Let the dough cool

- Once cooled, crack the egg and add it to the margarine and flour mixture

- Stir until well combined and the texture is neither too runny nor too thick

Transfer the mixture to a piping bag
Heat the cooking oil

- Cut the tip of the piping bag and pipe the churros into long strips

- Fry until golden brown

Remove and drain
Repeat until all the batter is used up

- Sprinkle powdered sugar and ground cinnamon over the churros

- Serve with chocolate sauce on the side

- The homemade churros are ready to eat
