Hi bloggers and food lovers! How are you all today? Since it’s still Eid al-Adha, we have plenty of goat meat on hand. My mom made goat curry today, so I thought I’d make roti jala to go with it. Roti jala or Net pancakes is a traditional dish of ours that looks like a net. It’s a perfect pairing, spicy, aromatic goat curry paired with savory roti jala. So yummy. Alright, let’s get started
Ingredients:
- 300 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 400 ml water
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions:

- Place the all-purpose flour in a bowl

- Crack 1 egg and add it to the bowl

- Add a pinch of salt and the cooking oil to the bowl

- Stir briefly until it forms a dough

- Gradually add water to the bowl, making sure the batter isn’t too thick or too runny

- Stir the batter until it becomes a smooth, runny consistency

- Strain the batter until there are no lumps

- Once the batter is smooth, pour it into a sauce place or roti jala mold

- Heat a non-stick pan

- Pour the batter using the mold to form a net-like pattern

- Cook until the edges of the batter are dry and no longer stick to the pan

- Remove and place on a plate

- Roll the roti jala or Net pancakes like this

- Repeat until all the batter is used up
