Spicy Black Pepper Tofu and Meatballs

Hi bloggers and food lovers, happy new week. When I’m not sure what to cook, black pepper sauce is my go-to because it pairs well with many types of protein. It has a savory and spicy flavor that suits my taste and I use tofu and meatballs for this dish. Okay, let’s get started

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of egg tofu
  • 4 meatballs
  • all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 1/4 onion
  • cooking oil
  • 75 ml water

Instructions:

  • Cut the tofu into several pieces

  • Coat the tofu with all-purpose flour

  • Heat oil in a pan

  • Fry the tofu until golden brown

  • Remove and set aside

  • Combine the sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, garlic powder, chili flakes, and a little water in a bowl

  • Sauté the garlic, shallots, and onion until fragrant

  • Add the sauce mixture to the pan

  • Add the remaining water to the pan

  • Add the fried tofu and stir briefly

  • Cook until the sauce comes to a boil

  • Turn off the heat and serve on a plate

  • Sprinkle sesame seeds on top
