Hi bloggers and food lovers! Today I’m back with another weekend food hunt. This time, the menu is sweet, creamy, and of course, delicious. The place is cozy and has a calm vibe with warm lighting in every corner. This café is famous for its sweet and crunchy - soft waffles. The place is called The Links.
We ordered the Original Waffle, Matcha Waffle, Mini Chicken Mushroom Pizza, Spaghetti Carbonara, and Sparkling Watermelon Punch
Original Waffle
This sweet treat tastes great—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dusting of powdered sugar and caramel sauce enhances the waffle’s flavor, and the vanilla ice cream and nut topping on top pair perfectly, putting you in a cheerful mood.
Matcha Waffle
Just like the original, the difference just in the toppings and the added matcha flavor inside, giving it a slight hint of bitterness from the matcha. This balances the taste, making it not too sweet. The vanilla ice cream and strawberry slices make this dish even more delicious and appetizing.
Mini Chicken Mushroom Pizza
This is one of my favorites here. The pizza isn’t too big, and the thin crust gives it a crispy, satisfying texture when you bite into it. The toppings are right up my alley—tomato sauce, chicken and mushroom slices seasoned with a special blend, and the aroma of onion and garlic, all topped with mozzarella cheese—making this mini pizza quite filling.
Spaghetti Carbonara
This main course is just as delicious—its creamy, savory flavor combined with the aromatic scent of sautéed onions and oregano really whets the appetite. The chunks of chicken and mushrooms add a satisfying chewy texture to every bite. You can never go wrong with pasta.
Sparkling Watermelon Punch
This pink-colored drink is my choice—made from watermelon juice and fresh sparkling water—and it perfectly complements this meal. In the midst of the hot weather here in Medan, the Sparkling Watermelon Punch is the perfect choice for this.
