A Tasty Tour of Khelgaon’s Street Food Delights

in Hive Food ‱ yesterday

Hello Food Lovers đŸ‘‹đŸ», who doesn’t love talking about street food? Today, I tried some street food in Khelgaon. I’ll talk about some really good street food. Of course, a couple of them might be disappointing.

First up is this Bhai Jaan Street Food. This Bhai Jaan Street Food is located opposite the pizza and burger place in Khelgaon. Or, to put it another way, it’s on the road straight ahead from the gate in the middle of Khelgaon’s Taltala Market. The main item at Bhai Jaan Street Food is their jhal muri. You’ve probably eaten jhal muri at many places. I mean, what’s there to show about it, right? But let me tell you, no matter where you’ve had jhal muri, you must try the jhal muri at Bhai Jaan Street Food at least once. I’d heard about it a few times before. But today, I went there myself and tried it, and to me, it’s one of the best jhal muris ever. I mean, in my entire life, this one stands out. So, it’s definitely a must-try item at least once.

Our next item is the usual street food, like meat box, nachos, and such. For those who know Khelgaon’s Bhooter Road, there are three or four food carts right across from it. Among them, Hyderabad Street Food is supposed to be pretty good. My friend recommended it, and it was there. I went with my elder brother, and we were at a place called Jabaniya Marabari, where they served chicken balls. It was very hot, and it tasted really good. But it’s not good enough to recommend to you all. Still, you could try it for some calories, maybe for a guilty pleasure.

Next up was the meat box. The meat box didn’t impress me much. But my brother seemed to like it a bit. Later, I didn’t find it good either. It’s not a meat box; it’s more like a potato box. The third item was momos. They looked very nice, but I didn’t like them either. It’s rare for street food to disappoint, but for some reason, none of these kids’ foods impressed me. Maybe you’ll like them, though.

And the third one is Shahi Halim. This is at Taltala Market, right at the entrance of the raw market in Taltala. Or, it’s next to the roundabout there. Shahi Halim is well-known for both its halim and noodles. So, today I tried the halim. You can try the noodles if you want. But I didn’t take noodles; I just got a bowl with three pieces of meat for a hundred taka. This bowl costs a hundred taka. To me, the halim tasted really good. So, if you’re around here, try the jhal muri and definitely have this halim too. I don’t think you’ll find any of it bad. For example, it tasted really good to us. My friend told me, “No, bhaiya, the halim was really good.”

That’s all for today.
