Today my in this blog I will share with you guys a new recipe.
Last time I shared Spiced Urad Lentil Stew || Daal Maash, I am happy you all liked my post and gave me great feedback.
Today I am going to share with you guys the recipe of Savory Chickpea-Potato Samosas & Crunchy Spring Rolls.

Let's see how I made it.


Ingredients

  • Potatoes ( 300 grams )
  • White Chickpeas ( 300 grams )
  • Onion ( 100 grams )
  • Garlic paste ( 1 sp )
  • Cumin seeds ( 1 tbsp )
  • Oil ( for Fry )
  • Samosa & Roll strips
  • Chaat masala ( 1 sp )
  • Cumin & Coriander Powder ( 1 sp )
  • Spices Powder ( according to taste )
  • Green Chillies & Fresh Coriander

Preparing the mixture for the filling

Guys, I have shared most of the recipes with you, so today I am going to share a recipe of Savory Chickpea-Potato Samosas & Crunchy Spring Rolls.
So, without wasting time, I will tell you how to make it.

So to make the mixture for filling, First I boiled the potatoes and chickpeas and then mashed them both roughly.

Now I poured cooking oil into a pan and then added finely chopped garlic and cumin seeds and cooked them until they turned brown.

Then I added mashed chickpeas and potatoes and then finely chopped onions.
After mixing them, I now added crushed spices to it.

The ground spices included salt, turmeric, crushed red pepper, chaat masala, chili flakes, coriander and cumin powder.

I mixed the spices well and cooked them for a while and then I added finely chopped green chilies and fresh coriander to it.
This is my filling mixture is ready.

Method for shape of Samosas

To make samosa, first we will take a samosa strip and then hold one corner of it, roll it into a cone shape.
Then fill it with the mixture and close the remaining edges by placing slurry on it.

So this samosa is ready. This is how I made all the samosas.
To fry them, I heated the oil in a frying pan. When it was hot, I put the samosas in it and fried them.

When they turned brown, I removed them from the oil with the help of a sieve onto a plate, and they were ready to be my samosas.

Method for shape of Spring Rolls

To make the roll, I took the first roll strip and placed the mixture on it.
Then placed the diagonal edges inward on top of the mixture and then held the bottom edge and folded it up.

Now I put slurry on the top edges that were left and rolled them up again.
So the roll is ready. In this way, I made all the rolls. Now it was time to fry them.

I heated the oil in a frying pan. When it was hot, I put the rolls in it and fried them.
When they turned brown, I removed them from the oil with the help of a sieve onto a plate, and they were ready to be my spring rolls.


Final Look:

A delightful platter of golden, crispy Samosas and Spring Rolls filled with a savory mixture of potatoes, chickpeas, onions, garlic, and aromatic cumin seeds.

Perfectly fried for a satisfying crunch, each bite is warm, flavorful, and full of comforting homemade goodness.
