Today I am going to share with you guys the recipe of Sweet & Sour Chickpea Potato Salad.

Let's see how I made it.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes ( 300 grams )
  • Black Chickpea ( 300 grams )
  • Cucumber ( 200 grams )
  • Lemon ( 1 )
  • Tamarind Paste ( 1 cup )
  • Tomato ( 200 grams )
  • Onion ( 100 grams )
  • Tamarind Sauce ( according to taste )
  • Salt & Chaat Masala ( according to taste )
  • Mint leaves ( a handful )
  • Green Chillies ( 1 or 2 )

Process

Guys, so far I have shared most of the recipes with you, so today I am going to share a new dish with you guys.
So, without wasting time, I will tell you how to make it.

So first I soaked the black chickpeas a day before so that they would become soft and then the next morning, that is, today, I boiled them and then I added finely chopped onions and green chillies.
After that, I added roughly chopped potatoes and finely chopped cucumber.

Now I added chopped tomatoes to it and then added mint leaves, squeezed a lemon and now I added tamarind paste to it.

To make the tamarind paste, I soaked the tamarind for a few hours and then removed the seeds and filtered the paste.
After adding the tamarind paste, I added salt and chaat masala to taste, mixed it well, and in last added the tamarind sauce.

So here is my Sweet & Sour Chickpea Potato Salad is ready. Now you can see that is Refreshing, flavorful, and full of street-style charm — this Salad is a delicious explosion of taste in every spoonful.

Final Look:

Soft boiled potatoes and hearty chickpeas are beautifully tossed with fresh onions, crunchy cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, green chilies, and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
The real magic comes from the rich tamarind paste and sweet-sour tamarind sauce that coat every bite with a perfect balance of zest and spice.
