Tasty Vegetable Rice

Assalam-o-Alaikum food lovers! How are you all? I hope you are doing well. Today I am going to share a very simple and tasty Vegetable Rice recipe with you. I personally like this dish very much because it is easy to make and tastes delicious. It is also a good way to add vegetables to our meals. Whenever I want to cook something different from regular rice, I make this recipe. So, let's start!

Ingredients

6 potatoes

4 carrots

½ kg green peas

1½ kg rice

3 tablespoons salt

1 tablespoon black pepper

2 chicken cubes

Oil as needed

Preparation

First, peel the potatoes and wash them well. Cut them into small pieces. Then wash the carrots and cut them into round slices.

I usually keep green peas in my freezer, so they are always ready when I need them. For this recipe, I used basmati rice. I did not soak the rice before cooking because the rice was already soft and easy to cook.

Cooking Method

Take a large pan and add some oil. Heat the oil and then add the potatoes and carrots. Fry them for a few minutes until they become a little soft.

At the same time, boil the green peas in another pot. When the peas become soft, add them to the pan with the potatoes and carrots. Mix everything well.

Now add the salt, black pepper, and chicken cubes. Stir everything together and cook for a few minutes so the vegetables can take in all the flavors.

After that, add the rice to the pan. Spread it evenly over the vegetables. Now pour water into the pan. The water should be about one inch above the rice.

Cook on medium heat until the water starts to dry. When only a little water is left, cover the pan with a lid and put it on low heat. Let the rice cook on dum for about 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, your Vegetable Rice will be ready. The rice will be soft and full of flavor, and the vegetables will make it colorful and tasty.

Serving

You can serve these Vegetable Rice with many dishes. They go very well with chicken curry, mutton curry, or kofta curry. I served them with koftas, and they tasted amazing. My family really enjoyed this meal.

What I like most about this recipe is that it is simple and does not need many ingredients. It is perfect for lunch or dinner and can be made for family gatherings too. The vegetables make it healthy, while the spices give it a wonderful taste.
