Making Strawberry Jam!

in Hive Food4 days ago

Namaste to all food lovers!

About 2 weeks ago, in a weekly vegetable market in our area, we saw a seller of strawberries. I don't know the exact weight of the boxes, but it must have been a 250-gram box and its price was 25 rupees per box. We bought 2 strawberry boxes for 50 rupees. My wife said tomorrow morning, you are going to get a treat of sweet strawberry jam. 😍

And you know how edacious I am, so I became very happy on hearing this, and after coming home I kept going to the kitchen again and again to see how far the work had progressed.

I missed the part of chopping, but after a while I saw that these chopped strawberries were kept in a bowl in the fridge. When I asked her, she told me that after chopping, they were kept in the refrigerator because dinner had to be prepared. Otherwise, it is not a part of the recipe. 😁

So after dinner, first of all she cooked strawberries in a pan on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

So after dinner, first of all she cooked the strawberries in a pan on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Then, as soon as the strawberries released some water, she added sugar and half tsp lemon juice to it and then cooked it again on medium flame for another 15 to 20 minutes.

Here, the time can be more or less according to your flame, so more than the time, keep in mind that it should reach the jam like consistency as per your choice.

We don't like the thick jelly-like consistency, so we kept it light as per our liking and then turned off the gas and let it cool and filled it in a jar and kept it in the refrigerator. That's it, and strawberry jam is ready! 🧑‍🍳

And the next morning, my wife had her favorite vegetable sandwich for breakfast, and I enjoyed this delicious, sweet and tangy strawberry jam. 🍞

I hope you enjoyed my tasty blog!😋
