A slightly different restaurant, the place is called "Mega Empanadas." It has a somewhat retro atmosphere. Although they started out, as the name suggests, with empanadas of various flavors and the draw is that they're large, they're expanding their lunch menu. Located in the city of Maturín, Venezuela, where I live, and close to the university, it was a good option for a meal on a budget—a college-aged budget.
I really liked it, starting with the location itself. It's very clean and has those little touches for taking photos for social media. It's an element that tells us the owners know what they need to deliver to be competitive, even though they're small. The service is very good; they're very friendly and they like to explain everything about the food. If something runs out, they tell you more will be available. In other words, they care about making sure we have what we want.
The menu is varied and buffet-style. You choose what you want on your plate, and the staff will place it for you, no matter what crazy combination you make. I really liked it; everything tasted good. Of course, the place isn't meant to be pretentious, but what they offer is very clean, cared for, flavorful, and varied. I wish them well and hope they grow because these small businesses are very close to their customers and take great care of their reputation.
Un restaurant un poquito diferente, el lugar se llama "Mega Empanadas" tiene un ambiente algo retro, y aunque empezaron como su nombre lo dice empanadas de varios sabores y como atractivo es que son grandes, están ampliando su menú para almuerzos. Ubicado en la ciudad de Maturín en Venezuela donde vivo, y cerca de la Universidad, así que fue una buena opción para ir a comer con poco presupuesto, con presupuesto de universitaria.
Me gustó mucho empezando por el lugar, muy limpio y con esos pequeños detalles para tomarnos fotos para RRSS, es un elemento que ya nos dice que sus dueños saben lo que deben entregar para ser competitivos, aunque sean pequeños. La atención es muy buena, son muy simpáticos y les gusta explicar sobre las comidas, si algo se acaba, te dicen que ya va a salir más, es decir se preocupan porque tengamos lo que queremos.
El menú es variado y es estilo Buffet Asistido, vas elegiendo lo que desees tener en el plato, y las personas encargadas te lo van colocando, no importa la combinación loca que hagas. Me gustó mucho, todo tenía buen sabor, por supuesto que el lugar no pretende ser pretencioso, pero lo que ofrecen tiene mucha higiene, cuidado, sabor y variedad. Deseo que les vaya bien, y que crezcan porque estos pequeños emprendimientos son muy cercanos con sus clientes y cuidan mucho su reputación.
