What a journey you've had! How far is Buenos Aires from your hometown? Were you able to make it back to your hometown regularly before you moved back? I try to make it back to see my family at least twice a year but when I was working my day job sometimes I didn't see them for a year or two.
I miss my parents' house a lot, so glad you visited your home regularly.
While I lived in Buenos Aires, I returned to my hometown every summer.
Buenos Aires is about a twelve-hour long-distance bus ride from my hometown, but if you take a plane it's a little less than an hour and a half.
But when I was a teenager, back in 1982, we traveled by train, and the trip was 48 hours.
Have a beautiful afternoon, dear friend @ericvancewalton
That is the EXACT same distance as it is for me from Minnesota to Ohio where I grew up! There were many times, when I couldn't afford to fly that I'd get in the car at around 2:30am and drive all day to get to Ohio around dinner time. Our bus and train service isn't the greatest in America so it would have taken 2-3x longer than driving to get there that way and it would have been more expensive. Thanks, enjoy your afternoon as well!
