Uhm...I am VERY curious now. What is this place where chocolate is illegal? And why? Is it because people turned into Oompa-Loompas? Or does it have another reason? Well, I live in chocolate country (Mexico) so if I'm ever out that way, I'd be more than happy to smuggle some for you. :) Great write up! It brings back good memories. And the reminder to write a few more Hivefest posts hehe.

        It is an alternative world. Chocolate is illegal because in the late 1980s a formula for a new drug made from cocoa beans was developed in the loboratories of P. Escobar. This led to the outlawing of chocolate in the US and Europe. But it can still be smuggled in from the Soviet Union, where it is legal ;)
