Delivered From The Odds - A Little Bit Of My Story So Far.

I want to give a big shout out to @ericvancewalton for igniting the right fire in some of us. Many people carry the wrong fire, that is they spend their time and energy doing what is not beneficial to them. Atimes, these guys do not actually know what is the right thing to do. Yet still maybe they are naive and childish in their reasoning. We have many of such people on the hive blockchain. They are as good as if they were not there.

Talking about these kind of hivians, they might have found their way to the blockchain believing that it will be an easy platform to earn money through crypto assets. In any case, hive blockchain pays monetarily. The pleasure of sharing together through contents creation and interacting with others’ contents gives me much pleasure and benefits.

The #memoirmonday initiative has been sending my brain down memory lane and make me recall some useful incidences in my life. In fact it opens my eyes to realize what journey my life has been going through. The link to the initiative is here

In this memory journey, I want to recall the experience that surrounded my marriage at the beginning.

Just like every young girl, I have had several men come to make friendships which was intended to become a marital union. My resilience in keeping my body till my wedding night helped me in screening out brothers who didn't mean much serious about marriage (only desiring carnal pleasure). A pastor even attempted to force himself on me one time. This pastor had promised that he would marry me. He was my pastor. I had believed him but I didn't know that he was willing to commit such a sin being a pastor. To cut that story short, he went into my friend when I insisted that I want to get an education before marriage.

You might think I was just too stubborn. But let me inform you that of all my family and even to a greater part of the village, I am the only person who has gone to college and finished with a degree. Also, I'm the only one in my family who has a decent marriage. My marital family is a light to my father's house. What do you think could have happened if I had given in to all those guys in the village then? Maybe I should remind you that my destiny would have been buried with theirs in the thick village darkness.

Meeting my husband was another sequence of controversial events. Before I met my husband, I had a group of christian brothers and sisters which we were going out together with. We go to church functions together and all of us were ministerially inclined. So, when my husband showed up, they disapproved of him in totality. They tried to convince me that my music talent and singing ministry will die in that man. I thank God today because I didn't give in to their pressure and fake predictions. Today, my husband is more honorable than them all.

Yes, the odds didn't come to pass. They said I won't see children; today I have three (3) beautiful children. They said my husband will die before my wedding; we have been wedded eight years now and are living happily. They said my music ministry will die; today my music ministry shines brightly through my husband’s church. So, the odds never happened to me.

Thank you for your time in reading my story.
