For The Love Of Writing

I love writing. Or rather, I love typing. Getting words out on a screen, either via a mobile or iPad using my thumbs and then editing the text for accuracy, flow and spelling mistakes. Yes, sometimes typos get through but that is usually due to a lack of proper proof reading.
I still have the urge to buy pens and paper notepads though, but I control myself now. I have enough notepads and pencil cases full of pens, retractible pencils, erasers, etc. Many of them unused.
I always carry multiple pens and paper notepad in my backpack just in case. I still take notes on my phone, but then rarely check the notes section my phone which is a really bad habit.
I just need to use the pens, pencils and paper more for creative purposes.
Writing allows me to get into a ”flow state”, but also allows me to meditate and self reflect on issues that might be troubling me.
Publishing posts here allows you, the reader, to give me feedback / suggestions / advice as well.
Not to mention that the upvotes will eventually fund my retirement. Fingers crossed on that.
Ideally I would love to write a few novels, but I think I’ll start with a few small zines and comics just to get a taste for publishing in print form and then move onto bigger projects.
For now I have a loose concepts that I might marry together to become something much tighter, but then again I know that it’s probably best to keep things simple.
Short stories work best in zine format because, unlike a comic book, I can have a page of text with the story and some dialogue and the next page can be a picture / drawing of the action.
I think need to get out of my own way in this regard. Maybe even consider outsourcing the artwork and editing to someone else.
Right now I am working on a larger post for the homeless community of Adelaide, South Australia to be posted on Leofinance.
I can’t show you yet, but I can show you that I can also use Ecency via my laptop too.

Nothing beats using a phone when I am on the go though.

I can find a nice spot at a cafe or a restaurant and order a meal, take a photo and write either a review or just include it in a post like this one.

It also allows me to highlight and promote the city I live in.

Writing not only keeps your mind busy, but it can also lead to personal insights to reflect on and even trigger life changes.
The possibilities and options are endless.
Thank you for reading.
Until next time, insist on dignity and respect in every aspect of your life.
