I can't remember when the internet was off for longer than a couple of minutes, but I do enjoy the times when we are on vacation where we don't have internet. Such places places have become rare though.

With so many power outages we regularly don't have a connection, when out in the bush very limited sometimes nothing at all.
Poured with rain through the night, this morning the sun arrived, with humidity feels like 34degC again, electrical storms back in the evening, summer time!

High up in the mountains or in gorges you don't have internet, and sometimes I really enjoy it but sometimes it can be annoying when I want to send my wife an image of the place where I am at the moment 😉
In Summer we also have thunderstorms with lots of lightnings and since a few years hailstorms have become more and more.

Still places without connection in the world, as you say a little frustrating when you wish to get a message through. Around the next corner it connects again or only when you back down off the mountain.
We listen for hail whenever storms approaches to cover the one vehicle in the garden from damage, thankfully we have not had any this season.

I always wonder what we have done 30 years ago - no smartphone, no internet, and just a few years before we even shared the telephone with our neighbours. Was life easier then or now?
We haven't had any hard hail last year neither, but my old car has been damaged twice a couple of years before. When the sky and the clouds turn yellow here it is a sign that it might be hailing soon.
