Starlings, unmistakable plumage. They carry the night sky on their back.
All the white dots are like stars. The name suits them so well. The sounds they make are so different, because of their ability to mimic. Listen to this one. The video is short, but I got the bird whistle.

The songs of the starlings are very nice and they are mixed now with the finches, blackbirds, robins. Starlings mimic other birds, many times confused me and made me think there were orioles. They have a big repertoire and if you have a chance to stay a bit longer and listen to them, you would not regret. The sounds of the spring will not be the same without the starlings.
Now, we have fantastic weather, the warmth brought the insects back and the birds have abundance of food. You can see a group of starlings feeding on bugs in the grass. I got these two only, but usually there are more.
I love to listen to their songs or whistles. It is like a greeting, when I hear familiar whistle. Soon I am expecting to see them inhabiting the holes made from woodpeckers and raising the new generation.
